Honeymoon Suite Tub

A brown room with a heart-shaped tub, mirrors, and surrounded by shag carpet. You can't get more funky than this!

i like it lets jump n the tub
It looks like the set of some 70's porn
Bow Chicka Bow Wow, Bow Wow Chika Bow Wow
70`s,70`s tacky interiors....*lol*,great shot.
Brown isn't a very romantic colour.
Brown more or less reminds me of dried blood.
Dirk Diggler as Chest Rockwell
in
"Saturday Night Beaver"
LOL!

Actually, there was a very similar tub to this in the movie "Dumb and Dumber."
HEY!!! Here's a site on the Pines from when this hotel was still in use!!! Pretty neato.

http://ineedattention.com/pines/?photos=archv&show=archv_bldg_out_aerial.jpg
Elvis has left this building!
Elvis has left more then the building .. what about the unpaid bill?
It's mindblowing....seeing then and now pictures, and hearing anecdotes of people staying here. This place is mystifying, and I can't quite put my finger on it. But I agree with the general concensus - brown shag carpet and a brown tub is like the WORST bathroom scheme ever.
Sometimes I have nightmares about 70's decor and wake up screaming ;).

Just kidding.

but jeez...
Spiff it up a bit and Austin Powers would feel right at home.
let's all sing ymca.........
look at the left side of the heart inside looks like a mans face or maybe i am crazy ok i am shhh dont let it out but i saw it right off
Damn I want that for MY bathroom!

I wonder if it was a Jacuzzi too :-)
Where's Harry and Lloyd? Well If you watched the movie youd know Lloyd is at the store buying beer, pinwheels and cowboy hats.
This either Room 703 or 721. This was actually in the newest wing built in the late 80's (I think). The Savoy.
this was the last, and, at the time, nicest building.
why in the press photo is there a kid in the tub with the adults? Isn't this where you make the kid???
I want to explore this hotel SO BAD
And here folks, we have our all inclusive Wedding Suite.
Rinse it out real quick, and it's as good as new! Anyone care to join me? I am a doctor, so it's for medical purposes of course... :D (Like that Lynne?)
You're getting pretty good at this, Dr. Sketch! 8`-)
Sketch, since it's a heart-shaped sitz bath, does that make you a Cardiologist?
Well, I'm ok with hearts, but my specialty is more towards the sitz use and less towards the heart use. :D I can, however, do quick temporary repair work on broken hearts as needed, especially as a "bounce-back" surgeon...
Im gonna get into the hotel and rip this tub out to be re-installed in my bathroom
This looks like 80's era bathtub hotel sounds good you can almost hear the song from TOP GUN "you've lost that love and feeling" and "Take my breath Away". Great movie from a great era the 80's the 70's were half and half the Vietnam war was still going on and the other half the funky part. Groovy Baby!!!!!!!
another comment the mirrors look like that nightclub from another legendary 80's classic "Scarface"!!!!! where he's smoking a cigar and that goofy guy in costume is dancing. Say hello to my little friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is one sexy tub.
It's me again funny i'm staying up real late and listening to YMCA great 70's song.
i never found out what year this hotel closed so maybe somebody could find out i check this post every weekend not during the weeks make another post later on going to sleep very tired now YAWN LOLOL Dumb & Dumber great movie too. Feltcher from cranston LOLOLOL!!!! We stayed in a place just like this not as classy but you know nice LOL!!!!!
Looks like someone forgot the empty the tub.... and think of the action that this got!!!lol
Speaking of dumb and dumber, Im listing to "Flower girl" right now like Lloyd was while dreaming of Lauren holly
According to someone on my site's Pines message board, the people in the tub in that old picture being referenced here are some of the Ehrlich family, the owners until the end. The message board for anyone interested is located at http://www.ineedattention.com/yabbse/
Alright, who pissed in the tub again, damn.
WHEN i WORK AT THE PINES IN THE 80"S i HAD A SPARE KEY FOR THE HONEYMOON SUITE. MANY FEMALE GUEST LOVED THE TOUR.
Bloody water! (ok, so it's probably rusty, but hey! I like my idea!)
MMmmmmmmm, makes me feel SOOOO clean........gross. LOL
the only thing thats freaky about this pic is that when i was a kid my living room had gold carpeting and big mirrors on the wall too!Look theres even some rusty luster water in the tub!
tacky tacky tacky! the sad part is if that tub could talk about some of the crazy nights it saw...........it would SCREAM!
I remember seeing this picture in magazines when the Pines was still open. Of course, I never knew I would get the private tour from Mr. Uppercaps if I had been around. [sigh] What I might have missed!!
I clicked on the link to see the photo's of what the place used to look like in use. There is a charming photo of a family (Mom, Dad, young son) all having a nice bubble bath in the heart shaped tub. What's wrong with that picture?? Yikes!!
that was funny buckkatt
Has anyone ever heard of the Poconos? Their decor was close to this.
My hubby and I share a bath in that tub's twin, each year on our anniversary. I won't say where - it's too good of a secret to give out...
What is that i hear playing "Let's get it on"
LOL
~GROOVY~
Nice history of what all happened in this bathtub.... when i think of this i see a young couple just married entering the warm tub for a glass of champagne... ;-)
do to the darker area in the tub it look like waters still in it kinda
I HAVE SEEN A PIC OF THIS SAME TUBE WITH SOMONE IN IT
Oooh baby, Oooh baby.
Wow! I wonder how many people got it on in that tub?
This picture reminds me of Austin Powers. YEAH BABY!
I wonder if the water works. *uhm

Anyone care to join me?
Woah, this is neat! I clicked the link, and it's a weird piece of time, frozen. One question, though, why brown? I would think any color would have been better for the tub than brown. LOL!! And I LIKE brown; just not on this...lol
Hmmmm ... maybe a good tub to test OXY Clean on... lol
Think about all the DNA lurking around in there.
Cant help but think of Dumb and Dumbr and laugh abot Harry and Lloyd sitting in the one in the movie
This wouldn't look out of place in one of the 1970s scenes in Dreamgirls or Forrest Gump.
Heheh - They should rename The Pines to The El Sleezo Inn. This tub reminds me of something Quagmire would have in his house. (Giggity Giggity, Oh Yeah!)
its the bloody bath tub! as was prophezied!
pretty disco LOL
This shot is quite disturbing.
Looks like someone bled to death there.
Interesting !
it still has its honey coler
Great photos and a sad loss
Man i work for a Hotel and i wish we had suites likes this. All i gotta say is i never seen a hotel in bader shape then this one LOL.
They are called " Earth Tones "

Anyway they're F*ed-up now.
How neat! I love it!
its a gross tub but a really awesome shot .
i cant view this why?
I wonder how many babies were conceived in this hot tub
Frieda Feltcher? From Cranston?
lmao ... omg this cracks me up!
I really enjoyed seeing the "what is use to look like vs. the what it looks like now" pics. I can imagine all of the wild happenings that must have took place in this tub lol ;)
i honestly had no idea there were really heart shaped tubs, this is amazing.
amazing
looks very small, or was there still water in it? LMAO
giggityy giggity!! LOL wowwww............
anyone reminded of the tv commercial for Beautiful Mount Airy Lodge back in the 80's
Where is the heart shaped tub? What room number?
Hmmm,... "Far Out?"
baum chicka baum baum
If that tub could talk!
this tub has seen alot of Rub-a Dub!
oh dear heart shaped tub? There is a place around here that advertizes one of those, kind of tacky for a selling point. The room in the ad look exactly like this only red & pink (& obviously in usable condition).
Oh my, LOOK at that tub! Hilarious. And BTW, the pics from ineedattention that show the parents AND a kid in the tub kinda weirds me out...being that it's a heart shaped tub...surrounded by mirrors....and shag carpet.
bow chicka wow wow

ohhhh yeahhhhh
Nice pic, Lonley Dubber, but why'd the couple bring their baby in with them??? I thought it was onmy for honeymooners...lol. They should've gotten a babysitter!!!
I'll refit that if anyone cares to join me
I'll join you, Merc24!!!!
tell me when!
How about now??? LET'S SWIM!!!
Hey do you want to go out with me??? ♥
Ignore that guy
Hi everyone. I'm new here. Just wanted to say hi
Wow. Brown, brown, and more brown. That's easily the tackiest design I've ever seen.
That tub is gross-all that stagnant water and gauche 70's style!
I like to think it was once a place of beauty in fact I can still see the beauty
NO WAY barcelona17
Scuba diving lessons in here?! ; )
If you had your honeymoon in that tub and are now divorced, save a pic of the tub here in present condition and file it with your divorce papers as a reminder. hehe
Ah, the 70s. I'm a proud survivor of that era. It looks like this room saw it's share of polyester clothes, platform shoes, bell bottoms, and big hair. Barry White or Rod Stewart is playing on the 8-track (oh baby, baby). The smell of "Brute" or "High Karate" cologne mixed with the smell of a fat joint filled with Mexican headache weed permeates the air. Out in the parking lot is an AMC Pacer or Ford Granada. "Tonight's the night.... "
Imagine the cats soakin' up the chlorine is this disgusting pan? No, really put them in the picture...close your eyes and breathe in the nostalgia - errrererghghghgh
Yes, that WAS the newest building, the Savoy. And yes, during 'slow times' at the hotel, the room could be had for 'consideration.
I spent almost all of my youth there as my family, then me, operated the Coffee Shop from the 60's till the 90's.
What memories!
Yes, this wasa the newest building, the Savoy and yes, if you knew the right people, durring slow times, the room could be made available.
There were some crazy , crazy times for sure.
