Very creepy looking oven
cool texture to the oven. like the green and yellow on the walls on either side of it.
seems to be the accounting dept just outside.
Yeah I think this oven is no more.....it was in use alot back in its day though I'm sure......a silent sort of death really. Kinda sad just like the building.....its dying a slow death of sorts.....Great picture as usual Motts. Interesting paint colors on the wall behind....all those different colors that they changed over the years.....it can be very telling. If walls could talk.......I'm sure these would say alot........
The zombies cook brains in that now.
The first microwave oven... never took off, because it weighed 250 lbs.
Probably not so precise anymore...curious if things like this would still work after so many years...
I thought that it was a cremonator oven. I can't spell it properly. The place where you burn dead people
Brilliant pic
During my marine science internship, we used a smaller-scale version to dry tissue samples in the histology lab. I cannot even begin to describe the smell that oozed into the room when we opened those doors. Enough to put even the worst compulsive eater off lunch.
to me, coming across old microwave ovens is the epitome of abandonment, for some reason. my family once had some property and one building sat inactive for about 20 years. 1986-2004 when it was sold and demolished. there was a basement kitchen with 50's style dining booths and stuff. i chose to go here after years of wondering what ever happened to it . well the microwave, a Liton metal monster oven was sitting in a cabinet with sliding doors near the pots and pans cabinet. Being that the bldng had power and heat still, I of course tried to turn it on.it worked BUT THE SMELL . was like sampling death. wish i could post pics of the boiler room....3 water tanks, all gas fired hot water, 2 abandoned tanks, and a massive oil burner steam heating boiler.
Do I smell pizza?
I wonder what would happen if one were to plug it in to a live outlet & turn it on. It was still working when the power was cut, right?
ashes to ashes, dust to dust*
