Those labels loo a little more recent.
It looks so neat!

I love how soft the orange color is against the sweep of debris. Its very pretty.
i like the completely insufficent lock on the narcotics box. Definately from another era!:)
They always lock up the good stuff!
those labels are old they used those label making things in the 70's for everything even in movies , they are most def not recent
The colors are beautiful.
lol and the narcotics door is wide open....someone was looking for happy pills
geeze even then they locked up the narcotics?
Wow metal fades but plastic is here forever....
Rust that is making a beautiful patina.
I agree, the color is amazing! The rust almost looks like sandpaper.
I love the how the light and shadow play on the colors. Stunning
what great colors!
loos so barren
they could start rustin up shelving units beforehand and then charge more for them, like the torn or faded jeans craze.
Those tags are not recent, I used to have one of those lil marking labeling things when I was little and i loved it! You set the dial to the letters you wanted then pressed the lil handle and out would come whatever you put it to say.. the letters were .. not sure of the right work.. not stamped but embedded maybe..
@amanda:
embossed is the word you're looking for.
My parents had one- they are the coolest doohickeys.
You can still find some at craft stores, but most people use the heat-sensitive label printers now.
Oh LOL, Milk of Magnesia. Them's for poopins. Reminds me of those old Phillips laxative commercials. That lady was so damned happy about her bottle of constipation aid!

Well, I guess I'd be happy too if it worked.
I hated it when I was a CNA and I would walk into the building and know that the nurses had given the patients on my hall milk of mag.....it was awful.
Incredible that those labels have held on over the decades.
Plastic tape label guns were used from the 50s-70s. I have not seen one in ages. My parents used one to label objects in the house in order to help my little sister learn to read.
Devin -- Oddly enough, Dymo still makes and sells plastic-embossing label makers! Not as much a choice of styles and colors, but they indeed exist.
I have my mother dispense my narcotics because its easy to increase your tolerance by taking too much when you are in pain, then the medications become less effective.
