how inviting.
I think I know what that is. When I worked in a hospital and we had to take pts (deceased ones that is) to the morgue you would put the body on the lower level and covered it with a sheet so it would look like you were rolling a table down the hall.
I think you are right Gator! The stainless still looks nice too. The wheels rusted, but really like the exam light too.
Stainless steel does not rust.... Sort of neat to see the wheels rusting yet the rest is in great shape.
I think,Fla.Gator nailed it.
oh yea, this one's got a little of everything too.
It seems like all the floors in this palce are wood rather than tiled
was the sheet covering this before you took this picture?..The stainless looks so new on the top part..
This is a childrens hospital right? Gosh It feels so bad, I wonder how many chaildren that thing carried. It sends a hunge chill down my spine. Rest in peace
I AGREE WITH IT BEING USED TO HIDE A BODY. I'VE READ THAT THE STAFF DIDN'T WANT TO UPSET THE OTHER PATIENTS BY ALLOWING THEM TO SEE JUST HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE DYING AROUND THEM. A LOT OF THESE HOSPITALS HAD A SO CALLED BODY CHUTE THAT WENT FROM THE MORGUE TO THE GRAVE YARD TO DISGUISE THE DEAD.
Ash, this wasn´t a childrens hospital as far as I know, though I don´t know if there have been young patients too.
There was a separate building that was used as a children's ward.
I bet those hardwood floors shined beautifully once upon a time.
r.i.p
wow..very sad indeed
