Ohhhh! Just love the dishware. Would love to have me a plate or saucer. :-)
I would also be tempted to take home a souvenir.
So many different patterns. Love the dishes! And the colors with the light hitting the dishes is beautiful.
Just take me to this room and let me look through all these dishes! No telling what youd find in all these old boxes.
Could this be the mystery behind the straw throw around on the other floor? Looks like they used straw to pack these dishes in boxes to prevent breakage, as seen in the middle, to the left.
Some neatly stacked, some crashed about on the floor. I love the contrast!
patterns are amazing.....I wonder if they were donated to the hospital I would expect plain white durable diner dishes... very interesting......
Hoarders.
So much waste!
LucieLou, the stuff in the box on the shelf is 'excelsior' packaging. Kinda like straw but man-made.
Thanks gully! so interesting isnt it !? Motts finds so many amazing items in his adventures! Wish i could be right behind him, but would most likely make him mad as i held up things to take a closer look at the lovely patterns on these antiques.
Set of 6 please.
Ooooh....is that a repurposed Have You Read The Label medicine cabinet there in the middle?
i love the light...and i'm SO glad its you that takes these sorts of pictures, there are many that would not 'leave no trace'. Thank you, Motts!
I feel so sad, that beautifull china is just wasting away instead of being salvage and be usefull
Amongst the china it looks like one of those kidney shaped things in hospitals they give you to throw up in. I never understood that. Those things never hold the amount of puke, and you end up getting it all over yourself too.
Could furnish a kitchen cabinet with all of that..
Those kids NEVER put the dishes away properly!
I just don't understand why everything looks like it is left in hurry. I know it is abandoned for some reason, but it feels to me something really bad has happened. Creeepy.
