Down

Looking down the central staircase. Most of the banisters had been removed with the exception of the top floor.

That banister doesn't look like it could hold much weight
holy crap, that's a dizzying perspective....
Love the view and the lighting looking down! Nice banister!
I can see why someone would remove the banisters, they were beautiful
Great view but I would be nervous on those stairs
with the banisters.
Heights really bother me.
Your staircase shots are always astonishing.
Im getting dizzy ,I feel like I am going to blow chunks if I continue looking at this shot .Must move on.
Shouldn't there be a Bullseye down there?
" I'm so dizzy.. my head is spinning"
Talk about vertigo. An interesting photo none the less.
@Jason Stackhouse-I fully agree, this IS vertigo! Has any one seen the old movie called, "Vertigo"? It was truly a classic! My friend Veena and I saw it, and then later on we went up a staircase similar to this, and it felt like "vertigo"! : )
STILL love the stairway shots, after years of looking at these...:-)
I love this one!
Yeah its a great stairs shot Motts as usual. Those banisters looked beautiful ....its a shame that so many of them are gone. Destruction is so sad.......
