Was that brush connected to a hose,so they could scrub and rinse at the same time?
The slab.
Can you just imagine what particles are still in the bristles of that old brush! Yikes!
One would hope the brush was routinely cleaned of its clinging particulate matter. Then again, when all is cold and quiet in the halls of the dead, it's too easy to imagine tiny bits of the morgue's last customers dried upon the stiff bristles of the autopsy-table scrub brush.
i dont think thats a hose connected just a cord of some type.. cause the brush is wood and i dont think water goes through it and it looks solid wood .. but either way its a creepy shot nice job
I can see the blood on the floor to the left, at least that's what it looks like- YEEESSHHH!( on the yellow thingy on the floor!) :0
The cord on the brush was probably to keep it from walking off, like pens on chains at the bank. I find it odd that there is a wheelchair and an IV pole there...the person just died in the chair and they moved him to the slab? My tired brain is working overtime lol.
Lonely little wheelchair in the back
Finally someone was cleaning.
It would be interesting if you could get back into the building, now that it's been refurbished into apartments (?), find this exact location again and photograph what's been done with it -- or the operating theater.
so come up to the lab and see whats on the slab!
And help yourself to a knife and take a few stabs.
LucieLou....That was funny! You made me laugh.

The stuff nightmares are made of! Wonderful composition.
The wall tile is still nice and shiny.
Rekrats-I love reading your comments-youndefinitely have a way with words! I would hope the morgue wasn't turned into an apartment... Eeewwww...
Maybe I watch too much NCIS. But I would think that morgues/autopsy
rooms would have been kept very clean and sterile. While the stains on the floor are curious I doubt that it is bodily fluids.
Or maybe I'm wrong and it's just remnats of a zombie.
Dangit....I realized I was still thinking of a previous picture. Sorry.
Autopsies can get messy no matter what; I think the cleanliness of the room usually depends on the diener, perhaps someone in the field can speak about it.

Once they're abandoned one can only guess as to how clean it was while in use. However, I've seen photo evidence of a pretty disgusting morgue while it was closing, but still in use.
That wheelchair is strangely out of place in a morgue. I picture a cadaver being delivered sitting up like a scene from "Weekend at Bernie's". ==8'-O
grate set for a movie
Autopsy-turvy table!
