1960's Bow Flex that has been quite vexed!

I remember those my grandfather used one in therapy when he had part of his foot amputated. Its name escapes me but it has somthing to do with helping the patient balance. If memory serves it was mounted on a cart and could be flipped up on its base and used to take some of the weight of of the injured limb allowing the patient to work on balancing.
It must be an early version of Total Gym.
I've fallen and I cant get up!
Still more effective than the Hawaii Chair.
Humm...I wonder what kind of therapy you can get on THAT thing??
