Ripped from a magazine? Not just taped on the wall for the example of fine fashion, me thinks.
Looks like someone was into knitting or crochet, and liked the pics, maybe they wanted to make something that looked like the photograph.
I think you might be right,LucieLou
Fashion....turn to the left.....Fashion
Cute kids. Bet they are all grown up with their own kids, by now!
This photo leaves me speechless
these photographs look professionally done, so I don't think there of somebody's family, which scares me to think that there was random pics of children on the wall of a mental institution.
Again, perhaps the child models resembled relatives, or reminded them of thier kids. Kinda sad.
Haha forget their own kids, those kids probably have great grand kids by now or something!
Looks to me to be a page from a knitting publication. I have several old knitting patterns that were given to me and this resembles pages from them. Usually they show the completed articles on models all on one page and direct you to the page in the booklet with the knitting instructions.. This may have been a specific yarn makers item. Perhaps they used yarn in the facility as arts and crafts. This could have been wrapped in the skein of that yarn.
@Claudia-I think you're right. I remember seeing some of those old pattern books in Windsor Button Shop when I was very young. You wonder what was going on with the patients when these were put up; what their feelings were....now all that's left are "remnants" (not pun intended!) of that sad time.
the whole thing is ill ...
ooo
no pun intended-
nice curl though.

god the tape is too much!
i dont think this is from just any magazine, this is something out of a craft book, one that teaches you how to make the clothing the children are wearing. my moms got hundreds of them around the house.
That's hysterical - the patient must have been thinking of crocheting an item. Yea right! I know what the patient was thinking, and that was why he was locked up in this God-forsaken place.
