It went from pristine to damage. Tile everywhere - its so cold.
now it's looking more appropriate.
nice hallway shot.
it's great to see you again Motts.
I'm really becoming a huge fan of you site. :)
Awesomesauce, looks like my room.
I check the site several times a day for updates.
I check at least once a day for new posts.
Same here, every day I come back hoping for more photographs!
These kinds of structures are the ones that seem to hold my attention. The older ones can be like looking at a diorama out of a medical museum. But these semi modern, (but before the tech revolution of today) are there ones that bring back memories of my earliest encounters with the world of hospital care, and hospital fear. Those tiled walls, and industrial floors…. It’s almost as though I can smell that Hospital smell every time I gaze deep into the picture……
why is my couch out in the hallway?
I would imagine the tile/polished blockwork was not only for practical reasons like ease of cleaning, but also longevity and no need for yearly painting and the like. That would save quitte a few dollars over the life (and death) of the buildings.
is that a hospital bed or what in the middle??
Yes.
This place is amazing. One part looks as if it was just vacated and other parts look as if it has sat there unused for decades.
It's certainly a contridiction! I love this site, and those who post comments on here, it's like we are all a big family! :)
Hi Dawn I agree! I always love seeing the comments with the pictures. That hallway looks very modern, its hard to imagine it abandoned.
Hi JackieB! It looks very well like someone at any time will come down it, doesn't it?
Oh, THERE is the decay....
Luv the angle , adds character
I love this site. I spend hours here just looking at amazing photography. As long as I can remember, I've had a fascination with old, abandoned buildings. But I also love the comments & humor. It makes the site seem like home.
Larry I agree- the fan following and comments certainly add to the website! Says a lot about Motts that he takes such amazing photos and get such a response. I just wish the website alerted you to new comments after you post! Then you can follow the thread!
