Well thats sad, a baby crib in a dark, dingy corner! Looks like there used to be pictures above the crib, so this must of been the original set up, Poor Child!
This picture cuts to the very core of my heart...that poor baby! I love ALL babies-that's why I'm pro-life.
The room looks spacious - there doesn't seem to be any logical reason for its placement unless there was severer overcrowding. Its difficult to tell, but it seems an odd placement for a crib given all the space available.
Such a cold place for an infant.
Cold and lonely.
id like to have the crib for my baby
I really hope that wasn't the original placement of the crib.
I love that crib, shoot, I'd sleep in it!! (that is if I could fit my fat ass in it)
Way to keep politics out of the comments, MARIE, CMT ;)
The crib looks old, probably doesn't meet the updated standards for cribs nowadays. It's a beautiful piece, though and would look nice as an antique-y display. I'm pro-life, too, by the way... pro-keep-the-old-historic-places-alive, that is. Motts captures the last breaths of life in these old buildings with his camera... so he's my hero.
babies should be in a warm happy place....and this isnt one of those places
Okay, they couldn't take the pictures off the wall before they painted it?
WOW!!! This one breaks my heart...So sad!!
Oh look...someone put baby in the corner.
jtrain; oh no you didn't, I was gonna say that :P
That crib is ugly and from the 80's, that room probably had more then one crib in there and thats why its pushed into the corner. If the crib was in a closet I would say poor kids but you can see direct sunlight on the crib which means a window could probably be seen from the crib. Oh and Pro-Choice right here, just to start some drama.
Maybe it wasnt for a baby?
Very disturbing to me. But awesome picture!
That's a wee bit disturbing.... Mostly because it probably wasn't most likely used for an infant :|

AS for it in the corner... it kinda looks like it was put there to be outta the way.
i like the red floor...
Well, that's depressing. Poor baby.
I womder what the pictures on the walls were , they predated the gaustly painted color scheme.
nobody puts baby in the corner.......
@opal-you're right! Nobody should put baby in the corner...babies are meant for warmth, love, and lots of cuddling! Can you tell that I love babies?! : )
that's one ugly ceiling/wall/floor color combo.
Wow truely heart breaking- makes me want cuddle my infant that no place for a tiny new life, oh so sad-good work Motts !!!
if you guys didn't notice, the area the crib is in is indented in the exact size of the crib's head board. it was probably designed so if the baby was slamming around in the crib, it wouldn't knock the entire crib over and hurt itself. if a baby is having a seizure, the last place you want it is on a cold, hard, tile floor.
Babies in hospitals are the most heart wrenching thing I can think of.
@ Larry When our 2nd born (son) was about 3 years old, he developed a kidney infection that landed him (and me!!) in the hospital for nearly a week and about 2 hours from home. The care at this hospital was the BEST that our son could've gotten (it really was top-notch!) but just to see that little boy so sickly in that HUGE hospital crib made my heart break. It really is heart-wrenching isn't it? As for this picture...my heart hurts now and I am going to go cuddle with our newest son, only 7 months old and our 5th child...
MamaTo5 - I can relate. My second daughter was a preemie and born at 30 weeks. She weighed 2 lbs 5 oz. I had never seen a preemie, let alone a baby that small. Her hand would grab my pinkie finger and barely reach around. She was in the NICU at an outstanding hospital in Annapolis, MD. She stayed there for 4 weeks. Let me tell you, it was a far cry from the picture above, yet it still broke my heart in pieces each and every day of those 4 weeks when I stopped in. She's home now and almost 2 years old... she's doing great! It's a testament to today's healthcare facilities and some amazing doctors and nurses!
