That was probably a nice chair at some point, like maybe 80 years ago. Is it me or does this whole area seem a little askew?
It's the LONELY chair shot of this lot of photos! (it's like an easter egg hunt for us on Mott's galleries. I FOUND it second!!!!)LOL.
The chair looks like an animal got it. And still the curtains fluttering at the windows. I love those high ceilings.
Yes Toot! either angry dog or termite infested! Cool shot, even old coat hangers on the floor.
Cool picture that shows what will happen to about anything left alone for years
I really like the rounded corners that these old buildings have.
With the clothes & hangers on the floor, the drapes, the chair... It's like somebody just left his room one day and never returned. Only a movie set could compare.
eldokid, something does look a little out of place, im assuming its just because not used to seeing a chair like that in a hospital.
Which to me as well looks a little out of place.
ahhhh the lone chair shot
Fantastic!

Something about this shot cries out.... something like past life or forgotten memories.
That chair looks like it was manufactured in the 50's or 60's.
My grandma had a tufted couch like that...kinda scratchy. Definately not regulation psych furniture. I love the ratty sheers hanging on the windows.
Wow. This is absolutely amazing. I can picture a psychotic old man living there in similar tattered clothes, sitting in that chair, holding a book with blank pages and wearing cracked glasses.
breath taking... the currtains on the window... speaks for itself
I know how you feel looking for lost car keys
Someone wore those clothes, someone hung those curtains, someone bought and sat in that chair, someone opened that dresser, SOMEONE PAINTED THOSE WALLS TURQUOISE ONCE, so much history, it is truly fascinating!
Yep, definately crazy people.
It sort of looks like somebody tore the room apart, desperately looking for something. But I have an overactive imagination. :)
Looks like my old college dorm room.
Mr. Motts, is the doorway behind the chair a stairwell?
I believe it's a closet; the metal rail inside looks to be a pipe or conduit.
Uhh....I think that chair has seen BETTER days, ya think?
I have cats who love furniture but gosh darn it looks like a tiger tore through that chair....shucks it looked like it woulda been really comfy too :(
To think that someone spent alot of hours sitting in that chair. There must be a lot of secrets that chair is keeping
