I'm running out of descriptive words to do justice to these photographs!
Man look at that woodwork. They sure put their all into building these places.
What was that Green circle thing in the wood work for?
that foolishly placed exit sign led many poor souls into the bowls of h---
SrRaV, looks to me like either a bell,
or it could have once been a copper moulding thats turned green over time.
Maybe Motts can correct me tho if im wrong
It's a base for something, but I can't tell what it is. Almost looks like plastic closeup.
look at that woodwork....amazing
That woodwork is absolutely beautiful. It appears that much detail was put into the construction of this facility - a stately, powerful design. The design of these exit passages on each side of the stage is interesting. With the open, flat areas on top, it looks like it would be an ideal location for placing loudspeakers for a sound system.
Yes, I believe the rectangular box up top is a speaker.
I love that woodwork!
The photo and lighting really capture the details and workmanship of it. This place must've been awesome when it was kept up...
The exit sign is misleading. Crazy people might think theyre getting out...
The wood details are breathtaking. What a shame it's gone. Lost treasure.
Reminds me of a speakers hall at Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center in Bangor,ME. If DDPC ever shuts down I want Motts to check it out and post pictures!
The past held such detail that in this era is so little appreciated... except by people like us:)
