I'm holding my breath hoping there will be a few shots of old projectors. .
Beautiful, I love theaters.
Ahhhh to be able to sing a sweet song on the stage one last time....
This theater is massive! I love seeing them in such good condition.
Wow! Big place
I'm feeling so fly
amazing!
Can you imagine a full house?
This place is massive! What would the show here Motts? Movies or plays of both?
This would be perfect to concerts and gigs. I bet the acustics are really good.
I would assume both, since the stage is rigged for live performances.
How many people would you guess this house could seat? It's an enormous auditorium!
I used to go to shows here in the 1960's. My mother worked at this hospital for years. The patients would put on variety shows and here were movie nights The whole place was a city unto itself. Had its own power plant, farm, bakery, wood shops, etc. Not the best of all worlds but now the chronically mentally ill live on the streets.
I was thinking the same thing as Kevin. Has our treatment of the mentally ill improved or is it way worse? I don't have an answer.
One can only imagine how beautiful that must have been when it was new, not to say it's not beautiful now. It's nice to see the natural state of the theater without graffiti and vandalism.
has there been any updates with this place
so surreal! amazing thanks !
Fantastic!
Incredible! Look at the architecture in there! Oh I just can't get over how lovely this space is.
Wow. I feel so little looking at this picture!
i cant belive they left this magnificent building to waste away. its really sad when u think about it.
I love the side enterance thingies on each side of the stage. They almost look like giant, old fireplaces. This must have been stunning new. Such a shame...
