A look at the stage from the back side. The emblem in the lower left corner of the curtain bears the insignia of the H.W. Johns-Manville Co., a major manufacturer of fireproof asbestos products. This curtain was most likely made between 1901 and 1926.

OK I did a quick google search. Nothing on Johns-MANSVILLE.
But I did find a Johns-MANVILLE. Maybe just a typo. (Sorry Motts)
Started in 1858 making asbestos shingles. In 1901 H.W. Jonhs Manufacturing Co. merged with Manville Covering Co. (H.W. Johns-Manville Co.) and made a number of things including asbestos/cement, acoustical and magnesia products.
