Looks so lonely...
Ditto on that one Dawn!
How bland the color is, that in itself would be enough to drive a patient nuts.
i just wanna say thank you motts it is such a treat to find a new post the work you do is amazing and excites me to my very soul i photograph my daughter often at our old cemeteries in cleveland she is an amazing red head with clear blue eyes and has a very sweet/evil look about her you inspire me to take it a bit more serious...oh geez i sound like a groupie dont i
I quell my inner Motts groupie quite often. Have no shame :D
ahhh so im not the only one...
this shot makes me want to cry... it just seems so sad
Instead of the usual peely paint, this seems to almost be a textured fabric.
Unless I am mistaken, that is a spray-on plastic material. It looks almost identical to the quiet rooms at my place of employment. It has no seams and is easy to clean with a hose. Perfect for those who express their art in bodily fluids. It may seem cruel, but is often necessary to house clients in these rooms for their own safety, but is often better than using restrictive clothing.
Wondering what it feels like when they put you in there and close the door behind you. I think i would totally freak out.
Believe me, when you are delusional and having an acute psychotic episode, this is the best place for both you and the hospital staff. It is a SAFE place for the patient, lonely as it may seem.
ever become afraid you may find yourself accidently trapped behind one of the various rooms you explore such as these?
I think I've joined the crowd of groupies (addict?). I started this morning at around 10:20 and it's now 4:52 p.m. Hand is stuck on mouse and I'm starting to atrophy! Gotta pull myself away or my cats will starve to death! ;^)
so I'm not the only one! ; )
Seems cozy...
Definatly a groupie; Motts you get to do what I can only dream of. There's so many places here in Baton Rouge that I would love to get my hands on but don't know who to talk to to be able to explore these places and not get in trouble. Any advice?
Check out the Broadmoor Theater - the owner was kind enough to let us take a few shots of the place, no sneaking involved. There's a neat dime show next door too. http://www.pexcho.com/
