The moody sky is just right for this shot.
I expected to see bats flying overhead, like a scene from a Halloween picture!
Lovely!!!!
What a waste.
I like they way the towers are slightly distorted towards the lens, makes all these shots look all loomy
what kind of ward is it, a typical hospital ward?
According to the original Kirkbride plan, this final wing "tip" would have been used to house the violent and incurable patients; these areas were often the most dangerous and neglected portions of the hospital, giving birth to the term "back wards." Some doctors and staff at various hospitals sent misbehaving patients to these wards as punishment.
What a beautiful building...just left to rot. :(
I agree, it's such a shame to see a beautiful building left to rot
it does look like a haunted house or castle, something that a witch
or evil queen would live in. its the perfect picture for a Halloween card! LOVE THIS BUILDING they should call me, I would love to fix this place up and make it look beautiful again! I am gay, so I could do it! ( gays are born to make things look good, it's in our DNA) LOL! email is Villains_81@yahoo.com
You can tell this was a fancy place. I mean look! They have a fence around the roof!
