Down the Line

This view, from the top of the tower, looks back along the axis of the service tunnel that runs underground. The central kitchen building lies just ahead (which also had crenelated ornaments, visible on the right side), and the pale medical building is at the far end. The old asylum building (featured in previous galleries) is poking out of the trees in the very far distance.

Time to descend...

Now tell me you didn't shimmy down one of those holes in the roof, did you?
Amazing!
As always Motts, its been a pleasure!
What a waste that all of this is gone.
Wow - just wow!
Thank you Motts! It is so disappointing that this is now all gone. I'm happy you shared your experiences and beautiful pictures of it with us all!
Its a beautiful building, in such a scenic location, its a shame they couldnt of just stripped the interior out and rebuilt it as maybe a hotel/resort or something
fantastic as always Mr. Motts. Thank you for sharing with us
Too bad the roof's starting to go...
Is this the building the movie Session 9 is based off of? At first I thought the tower shot looked familiar... but now the underground tunnel really makes me think so.
Session 9 was filmed at Danvers State Hospital: http://www.opacity.us/...s_state_hospital.htm

I have a similar panorama from there http://www.opacity.us/...5_tower_panorama.htm you can see Danvers was much larger and ornate.
