There's just something facinating about RUST
Great shot-- It's like the viewer is trying to hide from whatever lurks behind the door. . . Which is exactly the opposite of how it feels on the OTHER side of the door.

Man, I love this one. . .
Nice angle on this one!
This is creepy perspective.
It was what the clients must have seen.
Just imagine being there in clients' eyes.
To hide from whosoever has entered the room.
Eldokid, quit echoing my thoughts!! :) it feels like it's living, marching on, but at the same time, dead.
How many times did you check that door before you closed it?! would have been a lot for me.
Great gallery as always. You have a perfect eye for this and we thank you.
I agree with redinkreign.
While we're at it, I also agree with Mike. I am not sure I could close the door (unless of course you had a "buddy" who was with me, then maybe I'd be OK). ;)
This is an incredibly gorgeous shot, Mr. Motts! I love it.
Wonder if they considered that color "calming". They used it a lot - I love it but I don't know if it would be good for violent patients.
I am thinking the same as others.... what must have gone through the minds of those in this bed?

I pictured lying there, staring up at that... circle-thing (smoke detector? speaker?)... on the wall. How many desolate thoughts echoed through the heads of the patients confined to this turquoise cell? How many disturbed dreams filled the endless nights of this room's inhabitants? The possibilities are endless...
Usually someone that was in "seclusion" was chemically restrained if not physically restrained. For the most part...there weren't really any coherent thoughts while they were in this bed...
best shot i seen in a long time. all your shots are amazing, but this one stands out to me
wonder how many people screamed to get out of this room
Alot.
there used to be a similarly-designed brass bed at my grandfather's house. even though the bed is bolted to the floor, the springs/chains holding up the matress are ridiculously easy to remove... could be used for suicide or for attack
