Dental Work

Dental Work

This dentist office was tucked back in a tiny room almost like an afterthought, lined with dark wood cabinets and drawers making the cramped space even darker and smaller. An old examination lamp was intact, as well as some kind of antique apparatus that might have been a drill. There was no chair present in the room.

If you didn't like going to the dentist before, you sure did after seeing this one.
Disturbing.
Man that is freaky.... I really hate the sound of that dentist drill. Brrrrrrrr
plus it was creepier because the dentist was worse then
AK!!! it's LOOKING at me!!:)
Despite it being dental equipment (I too fear the dentist), it's oddly graceful looking. Makes me think of a modern art mobile almost.
That's a view I'd never, ever want to have from a reclined position in the long-gone chair that used to be in that spot. I'm terrified of the dentist already...
Ooh, I do like those cabinets though. And the paneling!
Okay, the perspective in this picture is just amazing... and the overall effect is outstandingly creepifying. Yeah. I hated the dentist before. Now I am just terrified.
In the museum here there is an entre dentist office set from the 20's. The leather in the chair is almost white in the most "seated" parts. But the drills aren't at all as creepy as the syringes. Man, those were huge, angry metal syringes.
The older drills had that articulated arm with a belt of sorts that strung through all the pulleys to the drill. It was quite funky. The rest hook is on this arm, and the drill was parked there. I was severely tortured by one of these when young.
Love the cabinetry...would put it in my kitchen in a heartbeat!
Awesome!
....they say he's a dentist...but i know different..
when you think about how this place had its own dentist, it kind of sinks in that once you're in, you don't come out.
I had work on me done by this dentist couple years back,he takes medicaid.

IS IT SAFE?
My mom and I collect antique medical equipment (She's a nurse herself.), and we have this exact dentist drill, including all the bits for it. =)

Very nice pictures, by the way! I can't stop looking through them!
Epic Win!
hey motts, were there any other creepy dental instruments around this room?
