This is an interesting picture, I like the color and the foreground.
The oxidation of this is such a wonderful amber color! It looks like a sculpture put in the middle of a coke plant! The cobblestones add an excellent texture to this piece!
I guess I am the first to ask...what IS this? Besides the subject of a great pic of course.
( this answer will not help) to me it looks like a front end or back end of a ship
viking ship
Nice one IM HERE. I see a ship now but last night I kept seeing a huge nose....don't ask me why....
yea i stared at that thing for what felt like an hour and i saw nothing that looked even close to nose but now that i look at it more it kinda looks bowlish in shape so mabey it held something plus the beam on top could be for lifting it and i see other beams in the background
I'm working on seeing the nose as well.

Nope, it's a boat.
A ship makes SO much more sense than a nose. It's the shadows at the bottom that reminded me of nostrils. Just had to explain myself. ;) (Sorry to make your awesome shot a nose Mr. Motts! LOL)
coke bin? please please dear motts, I gotta know...what IS it?
I wish I knew!
I see a nose too!
Celeste, it must be a girl thing, lol! ;)
Ahhh! The Boataphobe has been freaked out! Thank you for the unexpected sudden curling of toes, cringing and heart palpitations.
what r u talking about Felyne i mean gosh i was just admiring motts cool pic of a boat with nostrils and u had to make it weird with that weird message
This looks like something out of the movie, "Silent Hill."
Not sure wht it is, but looks like picture is taken looking at a corner of a square shaped bucket, so we only see two of the four sides. There is probably another lifting lug similar to the one on the left side around the corner on the opposite side out of view on the right. The photo taken from this angle really makes it interesting.
Looks like the coke wharf where hot coke was dumped to cool before loading in a conveyor. The object was just a wedge to divert coke from laying against an upright support beam. The coke cooled, then fell down a chute when doors were opened at the bottom of the slope.
