Push to start, pull to stop!
no no it's all push... the stops are just big and red so they're easier to push if someone gets pushed in or something else goes wrong.
Awesome, just awesome
KROW, Are you sure!!!!
Yes, he is correct. In heavy machines and industrial controls the emergency stop or just regular stop buttons always have a wider surface and stand out so they are easier to press in case something goes wrong or something needs to be stopped to prevent serious injury to someone.
thanks you guys, i stand corrected!!!
I thought it was : Pust to stop, pull to start, twist to slow down and ignore all together if your a state employee.
Any idea what it said below - -"alway start" - - with the arrow pointing up? I wonder how many fingers have pushed these buttons over the years.
eldokid, I could make out the words "before" and "belt", so my guess would be "always start (Equipment) before starting belt"
momentary contact switches for motor control. i am electrician. pie are square and cake are round
this one is poignant...love it.
Fla. Gator, you are definitely right about the state employees!! haha
Eldokid, that's exactly what I was thinking. Imagine all the fingers that have pushed these buttons over the years... never even thinking of the future for these simple mechanisms of industry when they no longer require pushing.
OSHA regulations still require some tyoe of hard-wired emergency stop button like these for machinery, even if it is PLC (computer) controlled.
what's a pie control, Glen?
I believe it stands for (pi r squared) pi r squared is the formula for solving the area of a circle. Part of an old rhyme , I think.
