amazing change just like my body once young and strong now old and feeble. It seems that all the true craftsman of the world are no long here. It is not very often these days that you see such beautiful works created.
I second what Glenn said
a cross and a bell as mantle decor, still noticeable in the older photo, Still a grand old fireplace!
wow amazing to see the before and after
Beautiful..
The comparison before / after shots always fascinate me.
It would be an Awsome Wallpaper Motts.
I really like the way the stippled light mingles with the textures of the brick. Many thanks to Motts for capturing it!
beautiful before....sad after.
before and after pics make me =D

Wow, it was so beautiful! Such a shame that is it just crumbling now.

I need this fireplace in a very serious way . . . .
It is amazing huh Lynne?
went yesterday.lots of snow tracks so someone has been coming and going .dont look like the balconys are safe anymore.the stairs to the basement reeled me In but I had no light ,afraid of what I might find
a body ,a person living down there maybe not now but in the summer I bet youd run into someone too cold now.
calling this old house.need instant remodeling
What once was new & beautiful & strong is now falling apart. Sounds like me since I hit 50.
