Mezzanine

Mezzanine

The amount of intact glass and lack of graffiti is interesting - here we have a place that has been destroyed mostly by scrappers, not kids throwing rocks and smashing stuff for kicks which can be found in most urban areas.

What is that box on the left-hand side? The one that is attached to that pillar/column.
possibly a soap dispenser
How about a load speaker?
I agree, It must be some sort of audio device... I mean, with a church that once sat over 900 people, the mass would have to have been audible from several feet away!
Nah I think money is right :)
It's a loud soap dispenser (here we go again!)
its a lone chair soap dispenser
LOL, it's all about a soap dispenser! I LOVE those windows! How nice to see they haven't been broken by morons!
Perhaps the respect for its beauty is the reason it is intact....
People who break those will go straight to HELL! Might not be much different than their current living conditions, but that's where they go!

Poor Motts. Next there will be a collection to have him inked with a soap dispenser.
okay, have to be annoying again, its been a few years since Motts has shot this, but the glass in the chapel is still there. I amazed at the respect that most people have for the church. Its actually cleaned every once in a while!
Amelia, you're absolutely NOT annoying. Thank you so much for the updates on the condition of this magnificent structure. Any type of knowledge on the current status of these sites as well as history and memories of people who've been there are always appreciated by Motts' loyal fans.

:-)
I am so happy to hear that people have enough respect for this beautiful window to now break the glass. Thanks Amelia!
methodists don't do mass, but they do wash their hands a lot;)

again with those AMAZING windows, so glad they are still there
I will definitely post any updates, this is one of my favorite structures i've come across and i constantly look for any news on it. Lately the rumor is that its far too expensive to save the building. So the plan is to tear it all down but keep the facade and then turn it into a public garden space. (which i think would be beautiful) Or tear it all down for a parking lot.
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the this shot. I definetly would not want to have to wash those windows those.
im suprised the windows are still intact , Probably are out of a stones throw away due to their height
Is it just me, or does it look like people swimming outside the windows? That would be weird, I know, but every time I look at this, thats what I see. lol
well i guess the soap despanser jokes will never get old?
