I haven't seen one clock around yet (or remnant), you'd think there would have been some in a train station what with the schedules and all.
Fab tiles!
They look like white glased brick?
I was thinking the same about the clocks when I visited, but if you go back two photos you'll see a circular remnant above the entrance, which I believe was a large clock. Another one might have also been on the opposite side.
LOVE the brickwork!
The tapesry brick-work is amazing. Wish I could re-create it on my house!
maybe they covered up all the old clocks and they are all inside of the walls
this looks like we are heading into an Egyptian city huh?
In England we list buildings of national or archetectural beauty or importance. This building would qualify in spades!
Man I hope this gets restored and used as an Amtrak track station again. The office tower can be used as railroad offices or businesses can rent a floor or a small section of the floor for there business. The building is sound but is just needs some cosmetics like new marbel, bricks, windows, etc.
Great pix !! but it reminds me of Nazi Germany for some reason...
