very creepy looking, the soap scum remains on the tiles. The drain and the hose look ominous

not really thinking its a shower stall. looks more like a slop sink or mop sink to me but I could be mistaken.

The hose is for giving enemas of course! Kidding! Actually, I agree with bina. I'm pretty sure that is in fact the place where custodial people dumped their mop buckets and such.

I don't know why; but metal items and water always make me blanche. The idea of being in there while the water was flowing sends the most vile shivers up my spine!

Ive seen pressurized hoses in other hospitals that are needed to wash off chemical burns.

the same more or less, except not at work while viewing! If I worked in an office with internet access at my desk I would NEVER get ANY work done, thanks to our good friend Mr. Motts! ;)

Some equipment in hospitals are placed on carts for transport to where they are used. When these pieces are returned to Central Sterile the equipment is cleaned as usual. The carts also have to be cleaned. If the side we can't see is a slope then this area could be for hosing down the carts. Would have to know where this area is. Because the carts that deliver food are also cleaned this way.

This picture makes me go EW for some reason. I HATE cleaning soap scum! We have 2 full bathrooms and even though the upstairs one isn't used much (bubble baths for our litlte ones once a week, otherwise we shower in the downstairs bathroom) it is still hard to clean. :)
