Wake

Wake

Leaving the museum, we descended into this flooded bunker through a grate in the street. Everything bounced off the impenetrable walls - lights, sounds, and waves created by our walking through the chilled pool covering the floor.

The water was crystal clear as one would see in a cave, however it became quite muddy as we stirred the sediment while moving around, and it was difficult to see what we were stepping into... luckily we had thick rubber boots as opposed to cheap plastic bags in the Krankenbunker!

I really do like how the water plays with the light in this image.
The water markings are of interest to me, how deep can it get in there Motts?
Eeeek, don't freak me out! The shadows are actually really cool, yet gave me a start! =8-O
Now that's cool, I like the way even the light makes everything look so watery.
chilling!
Another marvelous (Spelling?) shot! I love the ominous look to this one, it is as if there is something lurking down the hallway. I believe I see water lines up the sides of the wall, I wonder was it really ever so deep?
The water didn't seem to rise more than two feet or so, perhaps there were past years of flooding or the bunker might have been pumped out at some point.
the tunnel feels kind of ominious dont make me go down there
Replying to Motts.

Perhaps so that would be the likely explanation.
NIGHTMARE!!!!!
Ha! The first thing I thought of when I saw the photo was the plastic bags you donned in the Krankenbunker, lol!

So glad you've moved up in the world, Motts ;)
Reminds me of this show called Cities of the Underworld. In Rome, they had to paddle around in little boats.

I'm claustrophobic, I'd been having kittens already.....
but are they blue kittens?
are they true kittens?
there looks to be a shape of a man in the right side of the photo. The photo as has a very chilling effect
very, very chilling photo.....i love it.....
