Basins

Basins

These appear to be small, bath tub-like structures with hot and cold water supplies; the stick-on linoleum was a dead giveaway of them being recent additions to the room.

Weird and rather disturbing.
Odd they would make tubs out of bricks and then cover them with linoleum. And why the square holes at the base of them between the water lines?
Look how crude the inside of the tubs are. I don't think they were meant for people, least not ones alive. Could this be a base for an autopsy table? Or some sort of furnace? Maybe those are natural gas/oil lines and not water lines. Would explain the missing brick on the bottom.
These tub things look similar to the ones in my medical school, there they are filled with formalin used to soak bodies or random parts used in autopsies for the students.
whoa i take back the hydro therapy comment... brick tubs?? def made by someone more recently..
they look like overgrown planters
when the time is right,...you can be ready.....
Blech. *peers into tub for closer look*
Perhaps these were just the outside of the tubs. They could have had porcelain tubs fitted inside, probably some sort of whirlpool tub.
I'll guess they had a table or a shallow tub on top of them. But then, the bit about soaking the dead body parts sounds good too.
I'm pretty sure they weren't used to hold liquids. They have intentional holes at the bases. Probably a set of platforms for surgeries.
That would be so uncomfortable to lie in.
Noone seems to have noticed the rather dubious splatter/drippage on the left tub...altho being color blind i can't tell if you've all ruled out the blood possibility, cause i, well...i can't t see what color it is!!...damn my eyes...
These are from a movie, I just can't think of the movie
now i'm surprised no one has said anything about that strange bottle sitting in between the tubs. i wonder what that once contained?
