Sezierraum

The autopsy room; surprisingly there is a photograph of it in the 1992 archive.

Pretty creepy then and now.
I think the brickwork is outstanding!
I agree with Toot on the brickwork, bu I also like "creepy things".
wow these before and afters are so cool
the tiles remind me of london underground.
These rooms are not at all 'creepy' as most of the other sites have been. Very very artistic and beautiful.........
The red splat under the table amps up the creepiness a little =)
This is quite pretty for an autopsy room. I wouldn't mind working in here.
Who took the radiator? And why do they leave the windows open, is it to prevent mold? I can't tell you how much I love the before and after photos.
I think it's pretty chipper! . . . for an autopsy room. . .
I like it
Nice food prep table for the new restaurant going in there.
That tiled brick is amazing. I can't get over how nice it looks (and how much work it must have taken to construct this).
The red stain on the bottom/foreground creeps me out being that this is the autposy room! The tile work is cool though!
I wonder why the lighting fixtures are different than in the 1992 shot. I like the way it looked back then
Amazing just how quickly an abandoned building deteriorates.
Very bright and cheery... I suppose if you have to do autopsies, this would be a plus. Interesting how similar it still looks to the archive photo. Minus the cabinets, different (uglier) lights and a bit more muck on the floor... but still incredibly unchanged.
agreed, that red splatter is very unnerving! but if you look closely at the pic from 1992,there appears to be a red substance on the left side of the rim of the sink!!not to mention the "pillow"...
looks like blood stains to me
I find it odd that there are such big windows in the morgue...
It seems that lots of places with tables seem to get the most discoloration on the floor beneath them, I don't know why this is. Howeverrrrr, the "bucket" is there by the table in this photo. Guess what goes in there!!

However, the red on the floor is unnerving, but this appears to be on the first floor and wth the windows... Could someboday have spray painted the red there? You know, knowing that people would come in?
Just wondering, cuz do autopsies bleed much? If you're dead, you don't bleed like THAT!!
Yes it's mostly red spray paint or fake blood used in a photo or movie shoot.

The average human has around a gallon of blood in the body, so yes a good amount will come out when you start cutting. It will travel down the channels and into the pipe for disposal.

The "pillow" in the old photo is probably a body block - used under the neck to prop the head up or under the small of the back to position the body for easier access to the torso.
