so how would the water have been regulated at those temperatures?
Wash, rinse, and sanitize...
wash rinse sanitze is what I was thinking. but the temperatures seem a little off for that
Maybe laundry....darks, lights, whites?

It's kind of weird but, it kinda fits with the steam room/sauna idea. 70• C is like what? 150• F? That would put off an awful lot of steam. Though a tub like that would be a pretty inefficient way to do it....
