A medallion of string hung in the corridor; perhaps a product of occupational therapy...

glad to see your back motts, i really like this one, the color blue sits gorgeous with the underlying browns peeling away
I agree. The blue is gorgeous. Looks a bit webby like a giant spider has taken up residence
Mr. Motts, thank you for sharing your lovely photos with us! They are simply amazing!!

a norwegian fan.
That medallion looks so fresh and untouched by time...brilliantly captured!
This is absolutely gorgeous, Mr. Motts. Wonderful eye for detail.
lookls like somehting out of Logans Run. Your time is up.....
I'm so glad that others are in love with hearing the echoes of the past in these incredible old buildings.
The incredible detail in the trimwork seems so out of place in an institution. Oh that those craftsman would still be available to build me a home today!
Great detail in there. You never see that today. I wish they would preserve this
i live in beautiful state of california...L.A. to b excact...it a shame we don't have the same mentality of the east coast or Europe where old building are appreciated.
like a pentagram almost
Ooh, Greenskulker, good one on the Logans Run idea...I recall the movie & the short lived TV show. I guess they both had there moments. I see what your saying though.....but it does also look like a very large spiders web like someone else mentioned before....cool though......LOL
I love the architectural work, the trim and stuff. They just don't do that in buildings anymore - everything is so autonomous and institutional. It's too bad we rarely find ourselves in the presence of true craftsmanship any longer.

But I digress... *your* work is fabulous, as always, Mr. Motts!!!
its nice to see things like that srtill in tacked
