A modern, low-rise outer building proved to be pretty empty and not all too interesting. It was littered with bombs - you can see that the door had been opened all the way when the taggers came through.

I'm always simultaneously saddened and fascinated by graffiti. Sometimes it's really interesting, or beautiful. But often it's just destructive.

I dont get what the point of graffiti like this is. The amount of time it takes them to run to different rooms and do this, they could paint one thing and make it look nice.

Well I enjoy it . It makes boring plain walls and doors interesting to look at. much fun....although those doors are cool as it is hehe.

In my opinion, graffiti is the human version of people who have absolutely no class running around marking "their" "territory" like animals, because in their everyday lives as losers, they have nothing better to do. Pathetic, but true.

Yet another incredible intro! (If you ever publish your photos, Motts, you just *have* to include your original intro articles. They're immense!)

Regarding the graffiti - I'm on the fence I think. Now and then it's interesting to get a sense of the people who have visited these places before; but most of the time it's just ugly destruction.

New gallery up!! awesome. I love it when you post new stuff Motts!! Yeah, I agree with the other posters. The graffiti is horrible. Some people just have no respect for the buildings etc. Or the life that these places once had.

It seems like they are more interested in restoring and preserving these buildings in Germany than they are elsewhere - in many other galleries from the UK and US it's noted that the buildings are slated for demolition. Yay Germany!

i can tell you as a graffiti writer that this graff is for other graffiti writers. It is if fact marking your territory.

graffiti writers also enjoy the feeling of sneaking into a place where they are not allowed. I can understand how these tags are ugly, but will not stop.
just as the person who runs the site wont stop trespassing to get a good photo
