This shot has a never ending look to it - like you could walk down that hall and just keep going forever - I noticed in this picture as so many others that the windows and doors are usually wide open - are they left that way or do you open them to make the shot interesting?

I think the doors are open for the same reason as the windows - for ventilation.
It does lend an atmospheric feel though, as if everybody left in a hurry.
