Inexorable Wait

Inexorable Wait

The front of the building had narrow corridors that stretched along the facade, presumably used for fresh air treatment.

Wow - that looks like a set for a horror movie.
How was the building Motts? With all t he crumbling plaster there, did it seem particularly unsafe to be inside?
looks in worst shape then the rest of this place thats for sure
The building was really solid from what I remember - most of the decay seemed to be on the surface (plaster, paint, etc).
underneath all the grim the looks to be wonderful details like the celling and those lights.... sad to see it this way.
Another one of those shot's I'd say is up there with the best. Wow.
God I love the colors here... and the suggestion of the endless waiting before arching windows... *sigh*
Love the waiting line of open windows and the awaiting benches.
Take a simple long hall or room, give it a vaulted ceiling and presto - BEAUTIFUL!
I love the textures you've shown here.
this could have been an amazing place to pass the days. if only the bar werent there. To keep me in or to keep everyone else out. We will never know now will we.
Motts you have truly outdone yourself with this collection. This series is just breathtaking, and I am so grateful to you for bring it to us.
Once again, I salute you.
I WANT THOSE LIGHTS!!
the top windows kinda gives it a a amityville horror feel
Whoa! An absolutely fantastic shot! Reminiscent of both science fiction and horror movies with a little Jean Cocteau on the side.
OH........MY.............GOD.
amazing........
Yeah it is kinda scary....you can really see how this place has went down hill since its been abandoned. Its kinda sad too. Buildings that were in once great shape...just left to die a slow death. I always think its such a shame when these can't or won't be reused again & given 'new' life. I like it when old former buildings are made over again. Great shot Motts as always!! : )
This must have been beautiful before, well, all the decay. I love the windows and the lamps!
Windows make the picture.
