Circulating

The mesh security screens diffused the light beautifully, and the small spots of light filtered by the trees outside danced endlessly on the floors and walls.

Although the hospital was completely stripped of almost everything, the spaces were incredibly mesmerizing.

I love these back-to-nature shots with peeling paint and creeping plants.
love the insane shadows of this photo
btw!! wallpaper!?!!
That would make a terrific wallpaper shot!
Amazing light so soft and light.

Make a fantastic wallpaper!
Doesn't look like a hotel I would like to stay in
You're right, the light in this room is perfection. Love the colours, shadows and textures in this shot!
O this is wonderful!
The screens really DO add to it! Wow.
Ever since I stumbled upon this site a couple years ago, I'm hooked and can't leave. I see other "urbex" sites out there but they are inferrior - they offer no history, no description of what the photo is, and no comments. This is the BEST and I so envy Mr. Motts and wish I could meet him and go exploring with camera in hand.
interesting mezanine type sills and transom over the windows. don't think I've ever seen any like that
The colors and emptiness are mezmerising.
man all I would want is a desk and a laptop and I would work in this room. I love the light and the windows
Wow, that's a stunner! The room's both calming and unnerving at the same time. Odd, but beautiful.
I so agree with you eldokid. The other abandoned sites don't offer any info. I should say a majority but there are some that are good too I just wish they'd update there web sites. Some are very old. I do love how Motts at least give us some insight as to 'what' the building or home used to be used for. Instead of only pictures. I so appreicate all his hard work on this web site. Cause it is lots of work to do I'm sure. At least to keep it up to date that is. There are some other webs sites that I also hope they'd start updating as well. I'd hate for them to be no more. I'm sure from one of them (in there links) is to how I found Motts web site. Thank goodness. Thanks Motts!! : )
Looks so pristine. TY Mr Motts:-)
to keep them in or what out? its a sad lonely pic but highly effective
Its interesting that there is no graffitti in this room after seeing the rest of the place. I wonder why windows are often opened in many of these places
He is amazingly talented.
Like the windows in this shot.
Too bad that don't make hospitals this nice anymore... now they're just cold and sterile.
