Warm

Warm

Although the refrigerator was powered, it was not running. Inside are two medical samples in glass containers.

Nice composition. Very eerie.
While you say it was running, did you have to light it with a flashlight?
The compressor wasn't running, but the lights worked.
So that lighting is the actual fridge lights?

freaky.
It really is terrible to think of what those samples were and who from.
I agree-- I love the composition of the colors. I like how the red container draws your eye in, and then balances out the orange glow between the red and the yellow container. :3 Warm, but very unsettling.
Man Why is the power still on in this building?? When I come across buildings like this here in st. louis, well the power is off, and almost all the copper tubing and pipes have been stripped from the buildings. This building seems to have all that in tact still. Have you thought about trying to turn on the refrigerator's compressor by turning the temperature dial??? Would be cool to see if it still keeps cold.
It feels like they were still moving out.
Reminds me of Ghostbusters hehe the fridge that opens into the gates of the underworld or whatever. The creepy light is what did it. Crazy that those two samples are still there though.. made for a great pic.
That is so disturbing.
Why did you open the fridge? As a rule I usually never open refrigerators when exploring. Stuff like this usually happens XD
Stunning shot!
The yellow lighting within the fridge just makes this shot! Awesome composition, great balance. Just brilliant!
did the containers have labels on them?
Yeah, I want to know what was in those containers! Very eerie photo.
strange that they would leave these two in the fridge
What have you in your fridge? Samples, ears, cheese, brains, ham and eggs, organs, beer...
why on earth would they leave the power running here
ALWAYS amazes me when theres electricity still in these places
hmm.., did you get a chance to check for labels?
it made me want to know what those containers held..
The only labels on the bottles were catalog numbers.
I just can't comprehend leaving this stuff behind, I know they are "ancient" but who knows what could be brewing in this stuff.. I wouldn't want to chance it. Are there truly NO regulations on disposal, really? A used needle is considered "bio-hazard" these days.. wh oknows what kind of mutated plague could pop up under the right conditions.. It boggles me.
this photo frightens me, to think they still have the lights on as if they are going to open for business, another waste., if they are not using it, (and I absolutely wouldn't want to recieve any kind of services from this building), why wont they just tear it down. Nasty nasty building, these places are just breeding ground, Motts, I know you girlfriend is a strong woman, I would be scared to death for my sweety to go into these places.....LOL
that proves it that anyone can go in there and reactivate the place. let alone do some really heavy cleaning up...
pathology refrigerators are very interesting places. Especially at night when you have to bring a specimen down to the lab and you open it and there is an appendage wrapped in plastic that you have to move to make room for your specimen.
Well the reason a lot of recently abandoned places have the electricity on is so that vandals don't removed all the copper wiring. This might be hinting that this place is not totally dead... just waiting maybe, for the next job.
why the nergyu keep running???
the heat system,, the refrigerator....

and wow,, this gallery is great!! i love to see these psichiatric horpitals... to see how the humans trat another humans because they are different,,, i think the people with mental disease it´s the physicians,, and not the patients...
Erie photo.

Odd that juice was still flowing.
