Nice shot Motts, Sorta looks like Blood has flowed out of that tube and onto the floor.
Glad to see you are still posting new locations for us to enjoy
As always I want to thank you for taking the time to bring us these amazing locations and an insight as to the workings of these old institutions.
It does look rather blood-like! I second the thanks - I live vicariously through your photos.
OK, creepiest shot yet
Oh, please tell me that's some sort of rust...!
It does look like blood doesn't it. It has to be rust though. I don't think the blood could stay that fresh for long? right. I would think it would've dried up in those tubes considering its been awhile since they've been used. I forget when did they stop using this place, Motts?
Kez, those were the EXACT words I was going to use.

I'm sure it's just rust, but it still looks utterly creepalicious.
I don't know when this pathology lab was abandoned, although I would venture to guess in the late 1990s or early 2000s.
The hose appears to be alive...snakelike and hunting for prey. The rust or "blood" and the loop in the hose ties it all together very well. Living photograph indeed. Very well done :)
cleanup on Aisle Seven
THEN IF IT WAS JUST ABANDONED IN 2000 THEN IT IS PROBABLY BLOOD
Darn Joe, I was just thinking the same thing.
BLOOD WILL BE BLACK WHEN IT IS DRY, UNLESS IT IS ON A GLASS PLATE(BLOOD SMEAR) FOR A HEMOTOLOGY TEST.
Its a shower head, Liquid comes out of it to clear down the top so it would not be blood!
embalming fluids can be reddish i was told
When I see this photo I think of my friend Joey. He'd pick up the nozzle and say "Morgue water hose shenanigans!" and try to squirt someone.
It's not the blood I think, because the hose is not a part of a suction device but a part of a "shower" used to wash the body so the only thing it can be is rust, because of the water flowing through the hose
