Slashed

Slashed

The red slashes on the doors could have signified high-risk infection areas.

There is so much in this shot...the 209 grabbed me first and the eye is drawn down the hall...
That's a nifty way to mark high-risk sections.
The red slashes certainly look sinister, whatever their purpose.
looks like something from the 80s
I'm not sure whether the red slices mean anything more than decoration. Such ornaments were indeed rather common in the 80's at least here in Germany. The schools I attended also had similar decorative elements on doors and even walls.
You know, it just took me 5 minutes to realize the 'slashes' I couldn't find were actually the shadows on the doors I was seeing.
superb!
Those slash marks on the doors are very interesting...there is alot of peeling paint going on in this place.....wow.....tons all over . Nice shot Motts!!!
i didnt know they used our # system like we do
You would think the first rule of hospital interior decorating would be, "Never use a blood red colour anywhere, ever."
nick, which other system were they supposed to use?
Personally, I like the red. Whatever the thought behind using the color in a hospital was, though...
I definitively vote for decoration, my former school and many buildings from that era are decorated that way.
