Wow, this photo really sparks something in me, i dont know why. its like a nostalgia or something. I guess it cause i have experienced exact views as this photo. I love this!
A house is never still in darkness to those who listen intently; there is a whispering in distant chambers, an unearthly hand presses the snib of the window, the latch rises. Ghosts were created when the first man awoke in the night. ~J.M. Barrie, Little Minister
If you didn't know this was a hospital, a few cafe tables and waiters in white aprons serving breakfast would fit right in, here :-). Love how the shadows on the porch floor seem to be "mirrored" by the vines growing across the ceiling, and I like the choice of B&W over color on this one. Nice shot.
Looks like it would be a great place to sit and relax. Id love to get in touch with you Debbie
This is the kind of thing I see in my mind's eye every time I walk down a corridor, porch or hallway now. What it will look like in 20, 30 or even 50 years. My imagination is bathed in Motts-like imagery.

That's definitely a soap dispenser on the ceiling, though.
Puts me in mind of an abandoned antebellum mansion in Georgia or Louisiana.
I can actually see people walking there. Maybe some do sometimes...
Beautiful B&W shot...I love how the foliage seems to be reaching across the porch to go inside the building. This place is really beautiful & must have been a great place at one time!
I love this pic, its sort of sad and depressing but beautiful at the same time...
Nice. Lots of history here...
The creeping vines really make the picture for me.
