Monolithic Shadows

Monolithic Shadows

A view of the beach as the sun sank behind the building. On the left is a sea wall that was the beginning of the large quay that was to be constructed for the KdF cruise ships.

Well, the resort itself may not have been the stuff of dream vacations, but the view... incredible!
Blue sky, green trees and water -- beautiful!
I would love to have this view out my window everyday.
I can't believe it took me this long to find your site! Amazing, haunting, conjuring photos. Thank you for these, I have been looking around here for waaay too long but am mesmerized, I have always been a fan of abandoned buildings and cemeteries and the life that was lived inside the walls.
What a view!
damn can you imagine the view back then when the trees were barely growing or non existant. just acres of land and beach sprawled out . what a view.
