Oh, m - a - n . . . . . . . . . . . .! ! ! ! What a beauty! All marble, I am sure. I'd love to see a close-up of the carvings and the ironwork in the fireplace itself. Was that in-laid tile in front of the fireplace? Actually a very serene and elegant photograph.
WOW! THATS A FAB FIRE PLACE!
Beautiful craftsmanship on the fire place, and the marble is a great contrast to the mauve(?) wall and blue carpet..
truly unbelievable! Daym !
You take such fantastic pics.
Swwwweeet. I see alot of these institutions have marble fireplaces.
Is this in the same building where the floors are caving like dominos? Can't be!!!
I could sell that whole fireplace tomorrow for $15,000 The cast iron insert looks very clean and all the tiles on the floor are outstanding. A very hard to find piece.
Yes they did that in the house I grew up in-ripped out most of them and blocked up the chimneys. By the time we moved in pigeons were nesting, and they were always cooing-kind of annoying.
I think I was told that those are chestnut baseboards. I worked in this building
late in its life, but I appreciated the its
beauty and the amazing craftsmanship
every day. Lynne's comments are right
on target.
That's a neat fireplace decoration!
omg love this fireplace!
Oh man I LOVE THIS FIREPLACE! Looks like you could throw some logs in there and read a book in front of it
Beautiful piece and photo.
A marble fireplace! I can't believe they would destroy something like this.
roaring log fire, lambswool rug two people the mind wanders doesn't it
I hope this is included in the rennovations here!
They sure dont do work like that anymore. People are to lazy to spend the time to do it. and everything come pre-fab anymore to save time & money....nothing is personalized anymore
Fantastic photo
Can't believe something like this is just "abandoned."
I want one!!!!
(GASP) Marble fireplace? It just tears my heart out to think this has been demolished.
