Manicured

Manicured

Looking at the run-down power house from the parking lot; the headframe rests directly above the shaft to the left. Although the plant was falling apart, it was sealed pretty tight.

That's great!!!!
the second comment yay!!
Kind of a surreal contrast going here between the decrepit building and the well manicured landscape.
Wow very interesting!
MOTTS, MY HUBBY IS A COP...HE SAID THAT NEXT TIME THE COPS COME TO RUN YA'LL OUT OF A PLACE, LET THEM SEE YOUR PICTURES! NO OFFICER WORTH HIS BADGE SHOULD INTERFERE W/ AN ARTIST SUCH AS YOURSELF. YOUR WORK ALONE SHOWS THAT YOU RESPECT ALL PROPERTY. THEY SHOULDNT BEGRUDGE YOU A CHANCE TO CAPTURE YOUR PICTURES.
Love the pic
@Motts

Great picture, as usual. Lame comment; I know, but it's really all I can say in this case.

@AMBERLEE-N-MS
Just for your information (I'm not trying to tell you what to do or anything), typing in all capital letters on the Internet is generally indicative of shouting or yelling.
Very surreal and classic. It kinda makes me think of a still from a movie in a way
I wonder if Lynne will be commenting soon...
To the new people, Lynne offers good insight in these pictures. Also, good photo! Much oblieged!
Dylan, thanks for not being a butthead like some people would have been about me BEING BOLD!! (not trying to be snotty) ive seen what other people have to say about typing in caps and you seem like a sweetheart.
and ive gotten to look at some of Lynns comments and i have no earthy idea which facility she works, but she must be a true asset to the nursing staff and patient's family members.
Dylan, my grandfather was the engineer on this coal mine. His name was John Karcz. ( A German citizen who had relocated to Belgium to work on this site. His family was evacuated during the Battle of the Bulge). Did you happen to photograph the plaque which is on this site? My mother, John's daughter, visited a few years ago and took a few photographs to show us grandchildren. We had no idea that our grandfather was part of this amazing work. Would you be willing to share any of your photos with my family? I would love to frame one for my home. If you have any further information on this site, would you please share it with me? Thank you so much for posting your beautiful art, it has been very inspirational to me as I seek to put together pieces of my family heritage.
I didn't see or photograph a plaque, as we shot for the decrepit structures first, then had to leave in a hurry from Polizei. For a print: http://www.opacity.us/about/contact/
I bow down humbly in the presence of such gretaness.
