The outside of this building is fantastic, I've never seen anything like it.

It is fantastic, but on the other hand, two other thoughts strike me: 1) the only thing holding this building together is the termites holding hands, and 2) it almost looks like the Munster's mansion on steroids!
I had a similar feeling - it's like the Gilligan's Island of abandoned Victorian ruins.
I WOULD LOVE TO RESORE THAT PLACE AND LIVE THERE! iTS SO FAB!
If only it could be restored..
I have an album of photographs taken by my grandmother, Margaret Panton Chalmers, former student at Ms. Bennett's Finishing School 1908. The photographs are wonderful. I would like to contribute them to the archives of Ms. Bennett's School if one exists. Photos include: The Millbrook Hunt, tennis courts, dorms, sledding in snow and more....
This place may not have the negative energy inside of it like Byberry or Pennhurst, however out of most the places on this site this is the creepiest one on the outside.
I find this building one of the most interesting and mysterious!
i stood outside this building for a hour staring at it a saw scary stuff. yea. its scary. and haunted. and scary. and haunted. and its really scary
Alex,
what exactly did you see?
FABULOUS! ONE OF THE TOP FIVE PLACES, EASY!
Alexandra P. Clarke.....I would be very interested in seeing the photos that you have of this school...Perhaps you could contact me at : Radioguyglenn@aol.com. Thank you in advance!
Alexandra P.Clarke, Yes, there is an archive for Bennett and I would be happy to share my info if you'd like to email me: wrddreamer@comcast.net
Your pictures sound amazing and I too would love to see them. I grew up less then a mile from Bennett and have always loved this place. It defies description. My mom worked there in the late 60's-early 70's and I am an avid collector of Bennett memorabilia. This is the first time I've seen inside this awesome building however, so much appreciation to Mr.Mott for the incredible collection of pix.
if i were there the only thought in my mind would be. "how many demonds are in there"
hi-could you email me some pics, too? this place looks amazing! myabree@shaw.ca.....thanking you in advance!
Just went to bennett college, and almost got arrested for tresspassing. I was trying to destroy the property, i was just walking in and outside of the buildings searching for supernatural forces. Saw nothing but will tell creepy place, check it out. heard many noices!
i meant i wasnt destroying the property,sorry......
That's one spooky looking place. Imagine being a neighborhood kid and living next to that. Hope it stands for a while.
I would love to see some of the pics to Alexandra. You could contact me at tkrec@nuvox.net. That place is really beautiful in a way.
Such a beautiful building...too bad it is falling apart
An absolutely AMAZING place. Never seen anything like it...
A yesteryear picture of Bennett along with a brief description of the school.

http://mhs.vh.net/bennett.htm

Apparently the school was not actually founded there - it was actually in Irvington NY first. For those of you a little further away - Irvington is close to NYC but probably about 50 miles south of this location.
Incidently, this particular collection of Motts is both my favorite and how I found my way to opacity. I had heard about an old abandoned school in the area and google brought me here. Hooked ever since.
Alexandra P. Clarke...I attended Bennett in the '70's...just before it closed. I would love to see the the photos you have. You can contact me at tenscutie@aol.com. Thank you so much.
Outstanding pictures, Motts. Hats off to you
I used to work there summers on the paint crew and groundskeeping crew when my dad worked there. He worked there from the age of 16 until Bennett's untimely demise. I have lots of fond memories of the place. I can be contacted at croosa@cfl.rr.com.
I lived down the road from this school growing up. My grandfather always wanted to buy it and fix it up. Does anyone know if it was ever sold at auction? Beautiful artchitecture though I would love to see what it looked like in the beginning. If anyone has pictures I'd appreciate it if you could send me some. ctpie488@aim.com Thank You
WORD IS THEY WILL BE DEMOLISHING THE LANMARK I FEEL FOR ALL IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS A WONDERFUL PLACE AT ONE TIME.
EMAIL IS MRHANOVR@AOL.COM I WILL BE LOOKING TO GATHER ANY ITEMS FROM THE ORIGINAL STRUCTURE BEFORE IT IS BURIED ON A LANDFILL IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A SMALL PIECE OF BENNETT HISTORY PLEASE CONTACT ME. THANK YOU
An errand upstate took me through Millbrook last Friday and I took a sad and nostalgic stroll all around the old Bennett campus. I was a student there in '65 and '66. A rig is drilling a well in the front lawn; the operator told me the place will be demolished to make way for condos. I stood in the courtyard and could see into my old classrooms, I peeked into a plywooded doorway and saw the columns in the old design studio, I summoned images and memories of the dining room where we sang to classmates who came back from spring weekends with engagement rings. I conjured up names and faces of girls (we weren't women then) I haven't thought about for years. I'm amused to read comments about the place being haunted; if so, it's just by a bunch of post adolescent females anguishing over most of the same things the spook-hunters are going through. Goodbye, girls; goodbye Bennett.
This place is absolutely breathtaking. Too bad there's no possibility of restoration :-(
this place IS going to go, to the shame of the town that it used to be the heart of.
there is a faint hope of saving the east wing, if artistic / historical voices could be
brought to bear, but i'm afraid anyone who could intervene has already been paid off on this count...
It would probably take a fortune to restore it, more then it's worth anyways. I'm definately gonna look into reconstruction though. I've always believed in miracles and this place is one of them. Any idea how much this place would cost just to buy. I might just be able to do it with a little help and advice.
in 1991 the estimated cost of renovation
was over 15 million dollars, and that included donations from major corporations to be secured by the
founder of Friends of Halcyon Hall, who
shall remain nameless. this person
was tireless in his efforts yet was
unable to succeed in the, shall we say,
"climate" that exists in millbrook on this issue. the cost of demolition alone was
estimated at $8 million dollars, but that
probably included all that freakin stone,
which apparrently is now is "off the table"
in any current demo scenario. also alot of the cost of either demolition or
renovation is comprised of asbestos
and lead,as in containment , abatement
or removal. in any event you are looking
at, in today's numbers, millions and millions of dollar just to destroy the place. vandals could do it much cheaper,
doncha think? one thing is certain, it
will be a big fat contract for some company to demo this irreplacable
piece of history. ironically it could end up being awarded to a family business that
is descended from the original stone
masons and craftsmen who built it.
the irony is murderous....
I said this before and I'll say it again, why do they let buildings or whatever else just sit there and fall apart and then when or IF they decide to TRY to fix it up it's,"Oh, this will cost too much." I just never understood that. Something this magnificent will someday begone forever. How much more housing do we need; or should I say NEW housing? A building like this would make BEAUTIFUL apartments!
These photos are all absolutely brilliant. Nancy's right--it's a sin to let such beatuiful buildings rot away when the massive funds invested to restore them could easily be regained many times over. I'm not sure I'd want to turn it into apartments, however--a place like this, I'd want all to myself!

I just can't get over how beautiful and serene it looks. It has a romantic rusticness (is that a word?) about it, the sort of place where Hemingway would work on his latest stories. Just amazing.
going in there at night is even scarier ... a bunch of my friends and i did it, pretty crazy
im getting ready to go their in an hour hope the place doesent fall apart while we are inside its a beutiful place
I heard 13 girls hung them selves their back in the day
What a nice convenient number. ;-)
Hey I have to jibe with you all, this does appear to be a stellar place, I suppose that they should consider fixing it. Does anyone seem to have any sort of pictures from the interior part? You can e-mail me at escarizlissette@yahoo.com

Myriad of thanks to you all
Beautiful. It has a very distinct German chalet feel to it. Or, at least, that's how I'm interpreting it. Very lovely.
yeah, even though it is a distinctly
Tudor /Queen Anne building, i've
always thought it had a real Bavarian
feel to it, the architect kinda specialized
in that look in the 1890's. technically it's
a Victorian, but the feel is really more
medieval /Germanic, especially with
the projecting eaves overhanging
everywhere.you should see it in the wintertime after a heavy snow, it is
just...magical. A blanket of snow almost
takes away the damage of the years...
i need to talk to pat ratchet, please email me. i'm from millbrook and in love with the college. please. slimgrady16v@hotmail.com
what a great looking place. could be a few spirits handing out there .that just makes it more of a
temptation. It is a one of a kind.
Wow That place is amazing . Would Love to visit it.
i just went into the building tonight but it is crazy we saw so many things that we not right we took a pic of my friends girlfriend in a chair and right behind her was a lady in a long white dress and we got it all on tap it was nuts. we all were like lets keep going and find more then we were vidio taping this hallway and all we saw were little strings like objects going in crazy angals come at us and then you look up from the camra screen and you see nothing it was like it was never even there in total we spent about 2 hour inside and it was worth it if you ever have the chance to go and you dont mind trespassing then it is right up your allie oh and if you do go post it on here i would like another persons feed back
I was on a business trip and passed by this. I stoped to take some pics. What a beautiful place this is. I have read through all the posts above and think that it's sad they are going to tear it down. I thought it was much older but guess not. Anyway, I enjoyed the woman who posted a response who attended this school. I'd love to hear more stories like that.
-Jeremy
i want a wall paper of this photo!!
i would love to go there
its one of the coolest places in new york, if not the coolest. go check it out. nothing haunted about it, unless you tell yourself its haunted. you hear and see only what you want to. i got a good pic on my myspace profile, check it at skateparkdreams
Looks like its falling down the hill infront...
Anyone got pics or updates on what the demolition of the old place looks like let me know at croosa@cfl.rr.com
Used to live/work there when I was a kid and wondering how big the asbestos cloud is gonna be when they waste the old place.
Friends and I went exploring at the ground level basement and we found large cages made out of wood with metal screens. Anyone have any idea what these were for?
The wood cages with metal screens were likely a place to store out-of-season stuff that the students wanted on campus with them, but didn't need in their rooms. My boarding school had a similar set-up.
me and a group of friends were there 2 nights ago and we got inside through the window ... we went to the 4th floor which is the end .. the floor was caving in so we went to the 3rd, and of course nobody could have gotten up or down without us hearing/seeing. when we were on the 3rd floor everybody shut up and we heard 3 heavy footsteps...when i say heavy i mean basically stomping. so us girls [lol] got scared and cried..so we left. then i was there again last night .. and we saw a light in two of the windows on the side of the turret. somebody saw us who lived in the house in front of it or something so we ran to our car. when we were drivin down the road to go home a state trooper FLEW past us. wow we just got away. it was amazing though.
by the way .. on the way out we saw a bunch of keys, so we took them. you could see the burn marks on the metal. its creepy. i still have mine.

for room 414.
It was never sold, and I go past it regularly. Everytime I see it my heart sinks. It is a breathtaking building. There has to be something that could be done to save it. I really think we should try to gather support to renovate it. They want condos? Why can't this beautiful piece of architechture serve as condos? Why must it be ripped down and replaced? If the building was renovated, the apartments would sell for more, anyway. SO what does eveyone think?
This is still such a beautiful treasure. I wonder if anyone has an update.
it looks amazing.
the shabbiness of it is wonderful.
i love this place.
Check out: www.bennettredevelopment.com
Ive never saw such a haunted house .What a pefect spot to make a movie.
Like the old hammer house of horror.
I actually went into the Bennett about 2 years ago. I made it all the way to the top floor. We heard a lot of noises. I actually have a picture of something really strange looking back at me in the mirror. I have lots of pics. It's so sad because the building is amazing. I actually heard that they were going to demolish it, but they have to cover it because of all the chemicals. It's such a shame.. but I'll tell you first hand. It's definitely haunted. and I would never enter that place again!!!
WOW! How beautiful!!!!
Just saw it today still stands but it has a sign that says no trespassing but the creepy thing was a black cat came straight up to our car
oh my gosh, this building does look haunted. i do wish it could be saved; surely there is native folklore about the building.
I live 5 minutes from this historic landmark. I've been inside this place both in daylight and at night. I can tell you I'm not a firm beliver in ghosts but this place may very well be haunted. As a lifetime resident of millbrook, ny, I know many rumors that have floated around town about this place. I have many pictures of the inside but I can't share them because most show myself and my friends and with this being such a small town I could easily get myself or them in trouble.
It is twice as creepy inside and in very bad shape. I've been to almost every somewhat safe accessible area and yes its something worth the trespassing citation if I had been caught. I heard there is now a "silent alarm" security system with motion sensors in the building so I doubt I'll be back inside anytime soon. Also with every passing year the condition of the old wooden floors gets worse, and some are VERY dangerous. The main stairwells and hallways are VERY sound however. This building is absolutely massive and would take many hours to explore it and take it all in. This place is amazing. If I ever go back I'll try to get some non-incriminating pictures of the inside and send them in.
To the person "yomommaaa" who recounted her visit inside- I have heard the same heavy footsteps sound on two separate visits on the 3rd and 4th floors. The thing I am not happy to hear is that you took the keys from the box by that window- if you believe in ghosts that is a VERY bad move. Never remove property from a 'haunted' place. Also- you may have tripped an alarm in the building. I an 99% sure there are motion sensors in there.
And to "heather"- Something in a mirror? Wow thats something else! There is what appears to be a face in one of my pictures near my friend's shoulder as if a figure was behind him. We aren't sure if its a reflection or what it is, but it really does resemble a face so its plenty creepy. I also caught a lot of "orbs" (little unexplained dots of light) in many of my pictures. In the ghost hunter websites and such they are supposedly evidence of ghosts.
GOOD LUCK everyone, and don't get arrested, as the trooper HQ is only a 5 minute drive down the road!
Ive been there a few times.. Ive got pixs of it inside.. It's pretty spooky and VERY cold like 0 degrees and too many feelings around here. Many orbs. It was awesome.
Has a story book look.

Kind of excited; afraid to push the button.

As far as spirits and hauntings- maybe an overdose of estrogen.
It looks inviting and and evil in a strange, twisted sort of way.
I know this is a late post. This building should have been saved. What a shame. Great picture of a beautiful building.
My great aunts both attended Miss Bennet's in the early 1900's I believe I have photos of them there.
Wonderful Shot Motts. I love how you takes these Photos. Keep up the wonderful work.
I attended Bennet in the seventies and found myself near Millbrook a few years ago so I decided to visit. To this day my shock remains unabated. Looking up to my old room I was eighteen again and could see and hear our conversations, classes, teachers, and feel all the energy that such a community generates. I lived in a large room in the front where we would hang out the window on Friday afternoons and watch the girls, transformed for the weekend, greet their dates. I still have many friends that were in school there with me and theyhave decided it would be far too sad to ever see Halcyon Hall again. We never considered it beautiful. The only thing that saved it from being forbidding ,even then, was the youth and exuberance that the buildings contained. Halcyon Hall was judged so flammable that there was immediate expulsion for any student caught smoking in any room other than one of the two designated areas that had been specially constructed for that use. For me, the decay is not only shocking for the obvious reasons, but I never would have belived that a place that was so vibrant and alive could reach such a dilapidated condition in about thirty years. It would seem I would have to be at least two hundred years old!
Oh yeah! Awesome! Awesome! This is awesome!
Its a shame really. In its day it does look like a wonderful house. Does anyone know if it was demolished already? How sad. It is sad that they can't think of new uses for old houses & buildings before this happens. Its a way of perserving history. If they are building new condo's what a shame. Like somone sad it could've been renovated back in the day (after it closed) and used for apartments or something. What a total shame. Anyone have an update about this? Also thanks to the students stories that used to go there. They are nice to read. Keep those stories coming. I can image how sad it would be to see the place you lived at and went to school at and have all your memories at.....look like this must be heart breaking really. As always Motts thanks for the great pictures....I don't think I'd have the courage to explore these old places. It appears its very dangerous with the floors falling in etc.
Abundant thanks to you, Ann and Jerry, for taking the time to write such a fabulous post. Your memories of Bennett are fascinating and I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoyed reading about your time at Bennett. I am a native of Millbrook, and although I no longer live in the area, I continue to love this place with the same intense passion I did as a child. Although I didn't attend Bennett, my mother worked there as a hostess in the dining room from the late 60's thru mid 70's, thus there's a good chance she was one of those carefully starched, white-gloved ladies who served you your lunch! I've picked her brain to bits and pieces in quest of her memories of Bennett and I thank you for yours. A heartwretching shame indeed that this place wasn't treasured as well as it's been in our thoughts.
I was in the last class admitted to Bennett College... only there 1 year. I have many great memories from this place. This was such a small school... after it snowed, we would go knock on the school presidents front door of his house and borrow sleds and stuff to go sleigh riding on the golf course next door... that was the best. I would love to correspond with other bennett alumni... you can reach me at: geburke3@gmail.com.
it is still currently standing
ive driven past it the windows glow orange at night
That place was massive, seriously. Amazing pic, too, Motts.
wowowoowowowowoowwo i loveee ittttt

i would love to transform this into like a huge house, that would be gorgeous
I have been visiting this placea for 25 years and this web site give me a peek into the past of i MANY THANXt
sorry for the double post as of 10- 16 - 2008 it was still standing
I was raised in Millbrook, NY and remember when Bennett College was thriving. It added even more charm to the lovely village of Millbrook. It is very sad to see what time and neglect has done to what was once a beautiful campus.
i graduated from Bennett in 1955. A small group of students lived in a small cottage on campus, White House. It was such a great time in my life. Is white House still standing?
MILLBROK IS AWASH IN MONEY....DO WE NEED MORE? MOST PEOPLE KNOW THE COST OF EVERYTHING AND THE VALUE OF NOTHING. RESPECT YHE PAST!
Beautifully said, Bruce!
i love this building. only been outside it maybe 3 or 4 times. its very beautiful and i regret not having my camera with me :(
it reminds me of the munsters and l could never imagine somehting so big.
Anyone been inside lately?
yes ive been inside today
at nite huh - my eyes are green with envy
THIS PLACE LOOKS AMAZZZING!!!!! LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER URBEX MISSION TO ME!!!!!!!
I've been in halycon today. It's truely amazing. I heard about the keys from a friend and know I know I'm not the only one whose heard of them. If only I wasn't such a chicken shit. I would love to even go there at night. It's such an amazing place, I cannot get over it. Whoever had something strange and ghostly happen to them in this beautiful place, I would love to hear about them or see some pictures! I'll keep checking up on this post to see if any of you have something for me. It's simply intrigueing.
I know exactly who is responsible for the keys...
Who is respondsible for the keys? my girlfriend had some mad fucked up shit happen to her after taking a key. Theres something up with that. Maybe its the caretaker?

If you'd like to leave your e-mail address, I can give you some insight into what might be happening at Halcyon.
My email is themasochisticone@yahoo.com
I attended Bennett in the mid 70s...I'm shocked that it's decayed so rapidly.
Halcyon Hall was the most beautiful building- it's one of the reasons I chose to go to Bennett. I'm glad to hear it's still standing and hope someone, somehow will find a way to restore it.
We were on vacation and drove past by chance on Oct 14th 2009. We just had to stop and take pictures of the outside from the road. There were three vultures perched on the chimneys and we took close up pics of them with the zoom. Just a fantastic sight. I sent the pics to my friends as a real life spooky Halloween greeting.
thats incredible!!!! breath taking. ;<)
Halcyon Hall is definitely what everyone thinks of when they think of this campus. However, I would very much like to see pictures--even just external shots--of the other buildings, especially the Kettering Science Building that was completed just before the school closed and was this never used. The current development plan for that site calls for all but three buildings to be demolished, and so I would love to see what those others looked liked, even if they're not as 'charming' since they're not from the 1890's.
i hate thi place of bennett collge
I must say, Mr. Motts, that this school for girls is the scariest building that I've ever seen in my life! It looks surreal, like a house of horrors in a movie. I also went to an all Girls Catholic high school, and believe me, it looked nothing like this! It's a real shame that they did not perserve it.
I was just there today... Took some pictures, walked around inside. There's a lot of graffiti on the walls. I definitely think the place is haunted.... Two separate people have told us that a bunch of girls from a cult hung themselves there. Does anyone have any validity to that? There was a room that had reverse pentagrams painted on the walls, and don't go in there spaypainted and pointing to a very dark hallway. It definitely seems as though a cult has been in there... Lots of graffiti, lost of weird sayings...
Does anyone have any info on the girls hanging themselves there? By the boiler room, also, I got serious bad vibes. It was a very hot day, and it felt like we walked through an air conditioner. At that point, I randomly got very nervous for no reason, and my heart started racing. Shortly after that we walked into the satanic room...
41.776389,-73.699444 type into google maps for a look.
im going to go see this place it seems amazing to all the entrys iv read, but i got to know is someone really watching if people r trustpassing and if so what time do you think would be good for me an my friends to go visit and get inside without geting cought.....speaking of that where can you get in without anyone seeing
I'm going there this weekend! I live about 3/4 of a mile from that place and have never been there.... I can say this, I believe the enitre area is haunted! I even have spirits in my house! Crazy!
Here is another site to find more great stuff about this wonderful old school. Just type in Antiquity Echoes Bennett School for Girls.
I randomly came across this site while looking for haunted places in NY, haunted or not, the photos caught my interest. Even more so, the stories and comments left me wanting to know more about this Historical tragedy. I am presuming from the recent comments that is has not been torn down yet? I believe i read that restoration costs in 1991 would have exceeded $15 million? Does anyone have information on who owns the property and whats preventing a personal investor from the restoration? I am one of the fortunate Western New Yorkers that has natural gas under my land, and this would be a great investment property and a pleasure to restore. Shiznit1571@aol.com Please feel free to contact in regards.
i have been in place's with floors that are about to fall down and its scary for the most, thank you so much for going in. the pictures are amazeing
Whatever happened to this proposal?

http://www.nytimes.com...entury-landmark.html

I sure as s--- would've bought that place for $100 in 1993 - and I was only 8!
OMFG
This place is a gem. It saddens me that the town of Millbrook has not tried to restore it for historical purposes.
I was privileged to have gone through the estate, quietly as a ghost hunter and feel it is quite haunted. Although I wound up falling through a hole in the basement (it was a strange occurance). I would go back again to complete my hunt. I found many orbs, aparations and heard old music being played. I have one photo where it appears that an aparition is walking through a wall. It was quite an experience.
They are tearing it down but they have to be careful because of all the asbestos.
as of today she still stands -yay
The old photos from 1907 - 1908 are incredible. When I look at those I have to wrap my brain around the fact that 1) Teddy Roosevelt is in the White House but William Taft is elected in November, 1908. 2) Henry Ford introduced the first Ford Model T in 1908. 3) The Wright Brothers had flown their first airplane just 5 years prior in 1903. 4) The Titanic wasn't on the drawing board. 5) The Lusitania was launched in 1908. And Bennett School was right here. Wow.
I would love to go into such a beautiful place, being a photographer. But some of these comments say there is a silent alarm, and others say they got in.. That confuses me.
strange rambling building
I went to this college. There was nothing scary about it.
I heard that a fence was put around it in Oct. or Nov of 2011 to keep people out because it is to dangerous to walk through.
the fence was up in Oct of 2011 when I was there but it doesn't stop diehards from VIEWING the old girl
In on the 6th and it was amazing as usual. Very horrid shape though massive collapse recently in center section. If you go wear a hard hat and bring ropes and harness if available. Small run in with police on the 9th that was unpleasent but proved pointless on there part.

cheers
I just happened across a photo of the former Bennett College (previously the Bennett School for Girls) , my alma mater, while searching the internet a few days ago, and the shock of it nearly brought tears to my eyes. It is absolutely criminal that this has been allowed to happen to such an amazing, glorious example of historical architecture. It's hard to image, but at the time I attended Bennett, it had the highest tuition of any school in the U.S., even more than Harvard. And to think it has come to this. I will treasure the photos in my yearbook all the more now, as well as my memories of a wonderful time long past.
People claiming this building is haunted are merely being superstitious. The only thing haunting about this building, is its more recent past with banks and owners that lead to its deterioration... and trust me that is disturbing enough.

The building is beyond repair, it still stands from what I can tell from googlemaps, it will either be demolished or left to continue to rot. The only hope for preserving the memory of this building is the stonework, and a modernized replica built ontop of it ( still unlikely though *sigh* ). I say modernized because the building doesn't fall into legal building codes, it is/was a fire trap ( as many old buildings are )

Entering the Buildings: Do not do it, the building of particularly interest "Halcyon Hall" is on the verge of complete collapse, every floor is a danger, good portions of roofing is missing, severe water/winter and wind damage has left this place an easy deathtrap. DO NOT ENTER IT. The Dorms building next to it also appears to be split down the middle, which indicates that the foundation has been compromised.

If you do enter these buildings, you are putting your life and other people's lives at risk, as well as the rescuers who may have to save you.

With that said, I wish I could of entered it at least once in my life, I wish I could of saved her. I wish I could save her now. ~Celeste

Movie coming??? Just found this..

The building is intead still standing. I live in the village of millbrook and each year you can see the building of the roof seep down further. I have also been inside the building and it was beautiful in an eery sort of way. In the part of the building where the theater was there appeared to be stacks and stacks of old town files. In one room i saw a pile of a round 10 quija boards ripped in half. The building actually does not seem/feel overwhelmingly haunted though. The building looks like it is about to fall down any minute on the inside also. Its such a shame, wonderful things could have been done with the building especially in the town of Millbrook with such a tight knit community. I dont think anyone is going to demolish the building anytime soon unfortunately, Im sure some obnoxious teenager is going to set it on fire anytime soon though.
