Trap Door

I could have spent many more hours here, but many more abandonments await!

That is the kind of thing that shows up in my (thankfully rare) nightmares. A certain Stephen King story comes to mind....
thanks for the new gallery Tom
Thanks Motts! What a place to see!
Thanks again Mott's, it was good that you befriended the caretaker and his family. Sorry to learn he passed away, I bet he had many more facts and secrets about this cool place.
The first steps a LULU !!!
now that i DONT like!!!! - sinister - i dont know y
Motts, is that part in the top-left of the blackness of the hole a piece of stuff stuck to the edge of the hole, or light coming from a hole in the outside wall on the level below? Can't convince myself, but my guess would be the latter.....(?)
Were you able to find out where that passage went?
Well, that room sure creeps me out. I don't care if you could see inside and it was empty, I would just get the feeling that something was waiting down there.

Too damn many grade B horror movies . . . . . .
amazing set yet again thanks
Thank you for those beautiful photos. I think this last one is my favorite. I like the play between darkness and light, horizontal and vertical.
Step into darkness.....
Travail etonnant vous! Vous etes surpasse!
Does the floor really slope down to the left like that? Amazing shot, and mesmerizing gallery Motts.

I'm sorry to hear the caretaker passed away but I'm glad that his family befriended you.

Thank you once again!
What an eye you have sir....what an eye. Hey, and they come in pairs....

Are you ever creeped out by what you see?
LOVE this shot! Gawgeouso!!!! Thanks Motts fo another fanTAStic gallery!!
Oh, yeah....THIS one HAS to be wallpaper! I can put my Recycle Bin right over that black hole!!
I'm sure I stepped down it before packing up to leave, although I cannot remember exactly what was down there.

Jude, I think the sloping floor is just an effect of the super-wide angle lens, it was pretty level.

Caro, I guess you can say that - I get feelings of fun, excitement, and creativity when something looks particularly disturbing, not a panicky or fearful sensation.
Would this have been considered the HOLE?
Great gallery. Thank you for posting these.
Great gallery Motts. I so can't wait for more.....this last picture is another creepy one......I wouldn't go down through that trap door for nothing. Your very brave , Motts. Thanks for another great gallery.....more awaits......Thanks!!
I'm not sure if I love this shot or if it scares the crap out of me! It's cool, yet eerie.
Awesome gallery Mr. Motts! Keep it up! Looking foirward to seeing more institutions soon ;)
Amazing
Thats friking awesome =)
I'm so happy you made it back to this location, it is one of my favorites.

Awesome shots, every single one!
I was shocked and disappointed by the lack of lonely chairs!
Motts, you have every abandoned place a person could imagine...except an old plantation home. if you are ever in the southern United States my frie nds and i will take to the Mississippi Delta. are to Louisiana
The escape hatch, the end! Fabulous gallery as always, thanks.
Yes, thats right...no lonely chairs! However there was a soap dispenser, so all is right with the world yet again.

Wonderful as always Motts! I realize i kinda strayed away for a while. But as today is a particularly gloomy day here on Long Island...all i could think of was you. LOL!!!
Great pictures, although I'm not too big a fan of trap doors!!
Great photos thank you

Question: What is the first letter of the word "abandoned?"
