Clean Bed, not sure of what the significance is in a prison, but that's what it says...
I have a feeling that the guards were very strict and there were inspections. The old "bounce a quarter (or in this case a franc) off the sheets.
maybe for new prisoners
I would assume it is maybe clean bedding for prisoners?
They sure liked that sea-faring X look.
I love how it just splits like that.
