Uh, ferns don't have branches dude. Trees do.
as always love these shots of the nature takin over these places, gorgeous
Nice one, Motts!
I can almost feel the moisture and hear the sound of cracking bricks.
Nature will reclaim what is her's.....
Lovely, lonely shot.
It DOES seem very lonely....
...The vilest deeds like poison weeds,
Bloom well in prison air;
It is only what is good in Man
That wastes and withers there

It's always a bit of a shock when you see a picture like this. Life growing among the rubble. They seem like such opposites, but just for that reason it is beautiful, and once again your photos aren't just beautiful to look at, but make us think, too! Keep it up! I love it!
life

All hope is not lost.
J131274...I need to read more oscar...again your quotes give me chills
I have a fern like that hanging from the skylight in the bathroom.
Been going through some changes.
Don't know if its' going to make it or not yet.
wow thats GOOD
The ferns, a reminder of life.
Leave it alone long enough and nature always wins.
Do you see how the strings of the roots are holding onto the surrounding bricks. Reminds me of a kid holding all their toys and saying "mine".
