Effigy

Effigy

A rare look inside a blast furnace crucible; one can see the individual ceramic bricks that made up the interior. I don't know who or what the dummy on the noose was supposed to represent.

Intersting. . .i love the brick detail
Time tunnel, or as TV Guide once misprinted
many years ago : Time Tunna "
thats odd lol
Very surreal.
Holy crap!
Hmmm.... Creepy!
Awesome shot!!!

I like how the optimistic the sky is, and that you captured those birds in flight. . . The fact that the blast furnace is 'vanquished' is, also, I suppose a sort of optimism though it made up the economy-- Therefore, the fact that the 'body' is there, completely makes the picture.

I love it.
Thats very creepy!
Man, that gave me a heart attack.
Wormhole?
Yeah the 'dummy' hanging at the end is scary totally.....it is interesting though but scary nonetheless.....great photo Motts!!!
Why?
Spooky
wallpaper? please
I thought it was someone going down a zip line into the tunnel at first.
GEEZ that's creepy!
great photo, interesting and very creepy at the same time
That has to be one of the most telling of anything you have done so far Mr Motts.

That should be hanging (no pun intended) in a gallery or museum somewhere.
This is one of your best shots. Amazing.
All I can say is...
whoa.
my oh my. I like it in a weird funky way.
I'd have to say the shot is well done all in all but with the dummy at the end, it leaves the shot with a slight edge feel as if something bad were to happen.
Great work as always tho~
this may just be the most errie and creepy shot ive ever seen.
Every once in a great while someone will comment on a pic ive never seen and i thought i had looked at everything! This is awesome, never mind the dummy hanging there, its the design of the bricks and the colors!
... and now the intro to the James Bond theme is playing in my head.
Love
