This is the "crucible;" the base of the blast furnace where the molten steel was poured into huge ladles. Various materials were strung up and hung from it, I assume from the locals or the gypsies nearby.

Its very large....& if that is graffiti writing I'm wondering how they got up there to write on it. Looks dangerous to me.....

Motts - What is the size perspective here? It looks several stories tall, but I can't get a good feel for the full scope. Amazing pictures though as always.
Hmm... I would estimate the rectangular gate in the foreground being about 5-6 feet tall.
