any ideas on why the floor is raised in some places, also this room is not in that bad of shape it seems
Is that where the band played? : )
looks like it is a stage
For some reason this reminds me of a cafeteria... I dunno why. Amazing gallery, by the way, Mr. Motts!
id imagine there was previously some structure that was build around/on the raised area... I work with individuals from state hospitals that would trip and kill themselves on surfaces like that... so thats my guess,. alex
I wonder how many people tripped over that raised area. It doesnt take much. Tose tiles look kind of modern
Watch your step!
thank you erica, you are most helpful
haunting.
That raised portion may have once been a nurse station.
This looks too modern to be original. Panel wainscoting, square arches ..not 1907 style. Z might be right. I can see this as military cafeteria. Could have been a cashier/clerk''s stand on the raised portion.
I like the contrast between a stained wood and thick colored paint. Very broad door/hall way. Nice.
Motts , i think i had a dream last night that i was you. i dreamed that my life was taken up in a really good way with the persute of the next abandon building. I felt comfortable being you is this how you feel ?this probabaly is not the forum for such personal questions i know .DG..
Well just pull the car right in and break out the paper plates.
The employees of my company had all refused to work in this area because of its strange openess and nerve racking quiet.
reminds me of a cafeteria
