Small Staircase

Small Staircase

I like the strange shape made under the staircase, it's like a pseudo-spiral.

i love your staircase shots.
Me too!
by far one of your best shots
LOOKS LIKE THERE SHOULD BE DOOR THERE UNDER THE DOOR I MEAN
my grandfather used to build houses and his staircases were like this one. I haven't seen one outside of where we live.
It's so weird because i swear i dreamt about being in this place AND it was a school...college..AND...the walls/ceiling was slanted and sort of falling in..i'm really freaked out right now..wow...
dan ganas de subir
y saber que hay arriba
=S
Rough Translation for =)
they give desires to rise and to know that there is up
this photo is just begging for a ghost to show up on the steps
Oh yeah nitedivine . . . I can see it now.
For some reason, this photo gives me the creeps...
it's like you know the ghosts are ther even if you can't see'em! i've spent
countless hours in here as a kid, it is DEFINITELY haunted by some spirits, the vibe was just ridiculous, must be worse now from the looks of things....
"On the stair a shadowed creeped,
Beckoning me to follow....."

I read this somewhere in High School, anyone help me out here? It was an old classic.
a local photographer, also the co founder of Hudson Valley Paranormal investigations was awarded 1st prize in
a contest for best Ghost picture, by the
Sci Fi channel as a promotion for it's program "Ghost Hunters''. The photo is a nightime exterior shot of Bennet/Halcyon
Hall purporting to show a ghostly image of a woman in one of the courtyard windows, actually the "children's wing"
of the building. It is in the life section of today's Poughkeepsie Journal. It looks like a shrouded figure, kinda religious.
it would probably scare the shit outta me in person, but in the foto it seems like
alot of these "sightings'', what i call the
"Jesus-on-a-Taco'' images. But who knows?
the stairs make me wanna go up and see whats up there.
they look really sinister.
At night you can hear a little "creak' on these stairs.

Looks like the kind of stairs one would normally(?) photograph a ghost ascending or descending(or just standing there??)

Well, there was a lot of people in this building throughout its' history.I suppose there could be a ghost there, friendly or otherwise.
I love this. Small yes, but efficient.
Wow, how awesome is that! This is such a wonderful photograph. I should check this place out sometime! -Lives in NY-
This place is damn creepy, but curiosity would make me venture on through! Its a creepy ,beautiful megestic shot......Who or what awaits you at the top of the stairs???
i would not want to go to school here!!!!!!!
beautiful beautiful place.
It has the perfect place for a chair to sit and look out the window.
I don't know exactly which stairway this is (heaven knows how many there were!) but it looks like it could be the one the seniors chased us freshmen up in the dark, lashing our legs with switches they had broken off of bushes, as part of freshman hazing. Lord, these pictures are bringing back (good) memories!
this would be awesome, but sadly no one can really restore it back to it's grand place, Lead paint, arsnic, asbestes, so many things. I would have loved to seen this when it was first built. Sadly no one cares about such places anymore, It is build new and bigger and better,
Alumna it looks like the furthest East Wing building stairwell, leading up to the turret and 2nd floor.

But don't take my word for it, I've never been in this building. I'm only rebuilding it in a game and architecture program.

The only guide, out dated floor plans and peoples photos.
